The Neighborhood:
Hibiscus Hideaway is located within Waiheke Resort, around a five-minute walk from Palm Beach. Palm Beach is known for safe swimming, a relaxed atmosphere, and easy access to a small local store for coffee, ice creams, and essentials.
Arcadia Waiheke is nearby and popular for casual meals and good coffee. Oneroa Village is a short drive or bus ride away and offers supermarkets, cafés, boutiques, galleries, and evening dining options including Fenice and The Oyster Inn.
Several of Waiheke’s well-known vineyards, including Tantalus Estate, Stonyridge, and Casita Miro, are within easy reach.
Getting Around:
The nearest bus stop on Palm Road is a short walk from the apartment. Buses run regularly between Palm Beach, Oneroa Village, Onetangi Beach, and the Matiatia ferry terminal.
This makes it easy to explore the island without driving. The route passes near major vineyards before continuing into Oneroa and on to the ferry.
Taxis and rideshare services operate on the island but can be expensive during peak periods. E-bikes and scooters are available for hire in Oneroa for guests wanting a slower way to explore.
Other Things to Note:
Like many Waiheke homes, the apartment runs on rainwater, so we ask guests to use it thoughtfully during their stay.
Minimum stay requirements apply, seven nights from mid-December to mid-January, three nights on holiday weekends, and two nights at all other times.
Interaction with Guests:
The apartment is set up for a private and independent stay.
For life-threatening emergencies, including medical events or fire, guests must call 111 immediately.
For urgent, non-life-threatening property issues outside business hours, an after-hours contact number is provided in the arrival information.
