Comfy beds, thin walls and very poor bathroom lighting. Te Kaahu restaurant in dining and room service overated and expensive. No condoments, no salt pepper or 2nd cutlery set delivered for service for 2. Top floor restaurant cheaply devorated like a cafeteria. Definatrly not the high end vibe I expected. We arrived an hour early and luggage check was a joke, we returned to find our luggage still in lobby 2 hrs later, it had not been securely checked.

Staff was great, but in the rooms they have an odd master light on/off switch that took a hot moment to figure out. They also switched it off sometime in the middle of the night, necessitating trying to switch it back on 4:30am. Location is stellar if you're flying in/out of Auckland and if you are dropping a rental car. It's an easy walk to both.

The location was perfect for a night stay before we caught flight home to Australia the next day. Food options in cafe were reasonable and a good choice for casual eating. Room was well presented and very spacious. Excellent stay.
