The host welcomed us with a great gift basket full of NZ goodies. The house is extremely well maintained and clean, wonderful outdoor spaces, short walks to the bird colony and beach (if you like hills), and there was a fantastic selection of games to play with your family. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything a traveler needs. It was a great weekend!

We had our best vrbo experience at Silver Seas Retreat. We could not have asked for better accommodations. We had absolutely everything we needed and more. From ample, comfortable linens, including beach towels, to an array of snacks and toiletries that went beyond our expectations. The kitchen had every appliance you could imagine. Cookware, dinnerware, storage containers, paper products, seasonings you name it. Lovely coffee and tea options. The large soaking tub with salts and aromatherapy was so relaxing. The house was immaculate, as was the beautifully manicured yard with an ocean view to boot! Huge tv, nice speaker setup, cozy livingroom space. Beds were very comfortable. Easy access to beach and Gannet Colony. Handy outdoor shower to rinse the black sand from our feet. We really cant think of anything that was lacking. In fact, we think we've found our home away from home in Muriwai. We didnt meet or see the owners, but we're grateful for all the efforts made to make sure we had a great experience on our vacation. We'll be back next time we visit NZ!
