Way beyond expectations. We booked with the expectation of a room with a view. We were delighted with the private penthouse suite. Better and bigger than our apartment. It had not one but two rooms with a magnificent view of Devonport wharf and Waitemata harbour.

parking is an issue, our room was old which we like but this room needed some tlc. Room and areas were clean and staff was good. If owners ever rejuvenated the property it would be a hot spot for travelers in my opinion. Road to the area is busy and the night views of Auckland are incredible. The staff was so accommodating! We ended up needing an extra night so we booked via a different website and the staff combined our two reservations and even switched us rooms when a fan wasn’t working to an upgraded view! We were so extremely comfortable and it was the perfect location right in main Devonport a one minute walk to the ferry which we took everyday downtown.
