The property was conveniently located and easy to find. It served its purpose which was to be a dog friendly place to stay for the weekend. Luckily I was not planning to host anyone or even be at the property much myself. Upon arrival, I was informed that the shower did not work in the primary bath. I don't like baths, definitely not in vacation homes anyway so very inconvenient to have to use the hall bathroom for a shower. It should have been repaired before my arrival. The furniture arrangement was odd so the space downstairs did not feel inviting and was not very clean. There was a very strong odor of marijuana and the trash outside was rotten and overflowing. Also I rented the property as a solo traveler and didn't realize that the price quoted per night was based on number of occupants. The host contacted me to ask if I'd planned to have overnight guests when he saw my friend arrive to pick me up. That seemed a bit intrusive and presumptous. We discussed it and he agreed not to charge more even though I did end up having my adult daughter stay with me last minute on 1 of the 3 nights. I could not access the garage which would have made it much easier to load and unload my vehicle, but that was not crucial. I would not have wanted to stay here if I had younger children or spouse with me, but it was primarily to have space for my dogs, so it was ok. I rented to preview it as a potential short term rental in the area when I sell my house, but this will not work.
