Plunger problem

We were there for only one night as we were in between cities that we were visiting. We checked in at around 8 at night. The toilet got plugged up so we called for a plunger. The girl at the desk first told us that there was one in the room's bathroom. After searching, I called back down to the front desk and was told that she would check for one. I called back down a third time and was told that the front desk did not have one but that it could be fixed in the morning. I asked about switching rooms but was told that was not possible either. It was now after 10 P.M. and I was too tired to argue. Luckily we needed to book two rooms so we used the other room's bathroom. At 8 A.M. I called the front desk once again and was told that the housekeeping could bring a plunger at 9 when they came in but that the front desk person could not leave her position. The maid knocked at the door at 9, handed me the plunger and the problem was solved 2 minutes later. I feel that the girl at the front desk was not knowledgeable at all and needed more training both in protocol and in how to deal with the guests. A week later we returned to the area and booked into this same hotel to see if maybe this whole fiasco was a one time episode. Glad we gave them the benefit of the doubt because we had no problems that night and the hotel otherwise was excellent.

Surprisingly Nice.

Where I'm from LaQuinta has a not so good reputation. However, I'm please to say our stay at this latest location was amazing. Rakita, the front desk person was so friendily. She greeted us with a smile and polite conversation. The building is still relatively new so its looks fresh and clean. The location was also a plus for us. Will definitely return.

stay at La Quinta

The hotel is situated in a relatively quiet area, which was a plus. However, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor maintenance and lack of basic amenities. There was no hair dryer in the room—something even budget accommodations typically provide. The wall-mounted lamp was coming loose, the carpets were dirty, and the couch had noticeable stains. The floor tile grout was crumbling, and there was even a random string tied around the door hinge, the shower was not cleaned very well, we ran out of tissue paper and toilet paper fairly quickly. Additionally, the door locks required excessive force to properly engage. It’s clear that cost-cutting measures have taken a toll on the quality and upkeep of this hotel.

Cleanliness was spectacular

The hotel was very clean!!! As was the room. Very modern. Not old. Only complaint was that room didnt have a heater, and we stayed during a 33 degree farenheit night. Other than that, breakfast was splendid, as was the free parking. Perfect room for just staying to sleep & leaving ..

From check in to check out the place was great. Breakfast was great aside from no sugar free syrup for the tasty waffles 😊 reason 9.5 out of 10 for sure.
