Morning light spills across the hillside as the Pacific stretches out before you, with Hamilton Cove Bay shimmering below. From the elevated vantage point, the rhythm of the ocean becomes part of your stay - visible from the villa’s outdoor spaces and living areas. The setting feels calm and removed, while still giving you easy access to Avalon’s coastal charm.

The space
Perched 87 steps above street level, this one-bedroom, one-bath villa accommodates up to four guests and captures expansive views of Hamilton Cove Bay, the Pacific Ocean, and the nearby pool. Inside, hand-scraped mahogany floors and reclaimed ancient stone imported from Corsica, Italy create a distinctive interior setting that reflects the natural beauty outside.

The open living area is designed for relaxing between coastal outings. A queen Restoration Hardware sofa sleeper provides additional sleeping space, while comfortable seating invites you to settle in with a board game or enjoy a quiet evening indoors. A TV and Wifi are available for entertainment and staying connected during your stay.

Sleeping arrangements
The bedroom features a king Ritz Carlton mattress paired with Cariloha sheets, creating a restful retreat at the end of the day. With space for up to four guests between the bedroom and living area, the layout works well for couples, small families, or friends traveling together.

Luxury and convenience

The property is awesome. Beautiful ocean views with all the amenities of home. The included golf cart allows for unlimited travel to all of the restaurants and fun that Avalon offers. We also chose to stay in one night and enjoy a barbecue on the balcony watching boats cruise in and out of the harbor. Our kids slept in the sleeper sofa and reported it was crazy comfy, Rimas, our point of contact, was so helpful during our entire stay. He arranged (w small fee) to have the golf cart waiting for us after we got off the ferry in downtown, and also arranged for us to take the golf cart down to Avalon after checkout so we could get some breakfast and haul luggage to the boat, We also had a blast playing beach volleyball, jumping in ocean, pool and spa - all of which are visible from the balcony. Can’t wait to book again.

Amazing Stay With Lots of Perks

We loved our stay at this condo, way better than the photos! Great location in a quiet community that still has quick access to the main town. The host is what really stood out to us as he coordinated experiences (beach setup), golf cart pickup/drop off at the harbor making it super easy to get to and from, and offered many local recommendations. The hosts quick communication made the entire experience enjoyable and smooth. 10/10 would recommend.

Breathtaking views. Quiet and peaceful island experience. An amazing and unique chance to experience a lavish lifestyle with all the amenities. The cart is absolutely necessary to enjoy this location. Recommend carting to Vons to bring back food to cook on the full kitchen or balcony bbq.

Amazing February 2 day getaway !

The view was absolutely BEAUTIFUL for one. For two, checking in and out was a BREEZE. Have never been so lucky before. The thoughtfulness from the extra goodies, the check ins, recommendations, couldn’t have been better! The set up inside from the bathroom to the “laundry area”, into the bedroom was perfect (loved the pocket doors). The balcony was amazing and could hear the ocean even with the door shut (so peaceful). The furniture and extra blankets were super cozy and everything just made you feel at home (they even provided a brand new coffee creamer!). Cannot wait to go back and see more of the cute shops and more of the island, two days was just not enough at rima’s condo! Thank you!

Very relaxing

The view! The spa! The Hamilton Cove property is the best we have stayed at in many years of visiting Catalina. The manager was very helpful as we had some issues finding the unit and charging the cart. But in the end we figured it all out.

Beautiful Condo

This unit was just as described. Absolutely clean and beautiful. The unit is in a great location on property. It has everything you need. The pull out sofa was very comfortable as well. The unit is close to the pool and hot tub area and the beach. The beach area is rocky so I’d suggest water shoes. The golf cart is electric so no worrying about gas. The steps are for real as described. I’d suggest having the cab pick you up at the bottom (being dropped off up top as directed). Also the unit is in the middle of two others and there is very little to no privacy between the units. This is on most of the property so it isn’t unique to just this unit. Even if a neighbor was having a quiet outdoor conversation it would be right next to your window. Certainly not the fault of the unit but something to consider. We were there off season so it was very quiet. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Absolutely Wonderful with Steps

Hamilton Cove is a great place to stay. The view was perfect and it reminds you of an Italian seaside. The condo is well-equipped with everything you need even beach items. Getting information from the host was great, but my wife had Verizon which has connection once you are past the main area of Avalon. Everyone was nice from the gate guard to the other renters. Take heed that the property is 87 steps from the road, but well worth the time it took to get our luggage up for the magnificent view!

Beautiful Condo - LOTS of Stairs!

Our family of 4 enjoyed out stay in this condo, but had no idea the 75+ stairs would be a daily issue. The owner is excellent and was super to work with for move in and he even happen to be there the day we arrived and helped us take our bags down the 100+ steps from the top. He dropped off the golf cart at the Catalina Express dock (extra charge) and it took the four of us with roller bags just fine back the 15 minute ride to the condo. They advertise LOTS of Stairs, this is a 10 story condo with no elevators, so it is over 100 steps down from the top and 75+ steps up from the bottom. If you have any issue with steps or physical fitness, this will be a challenge. It took us a few good days to get use to the daily hike and we thought many times before we left and what we bought in town, since it was all being carried up steps. Condo is fully remodeled, the building above the pool for the association. Condo is fully equipped with high end beds and furniture. Pull out couch is RH and very nice mattress. Get's great ocean breeze, awesome views and the patio/deck is very enjoyable. Coffee maker and Keurig was great and stocked with coffee. Even received a nice bottle of wine on arrival. The owner is great to communicate with on any issues. Lots of ocean and pool toys too. Golf cart was great for 4 and we used it daily. It really added to the trip. First time we have been in Avalon with a golf cart included. Highly recommend it, but stairs = 4 stars.

I have been to Catalina before(Avalon) but never to Hamilton Cove. What a great find we made. Wish we knew about this years ago as we always stayed in a small hotel room in Avalon. Rimas nailed it with his Villas here at the Cove. Well appointed with all the amenities you need. Spacious and comfortable is an understatement. Views of the Pacific that are breathtaking from the living room, dining room bedroom and the large deck. We had friends stay in his two other units that were just as amazing as ours. This location automatically drops your blood pressure when you arrive. If you have trouble sleeping you won’t here as the sound of the ocean waves are soothing to say the least. Put me right to sleep every night. Waking up each morning having coffee on the lanai is a must. “Rimas”, is the superhost, offered us a cabana on the beach with a BBQ that was amazing. They cooked up assorted shish-kabobs and grilled shrimp along with a delicious charcuterie board. Our friends that stayed with us cant stop talking how awesome this experience on the beach was. Hamilton Cove is by far the best place to stay on the Island and we look forward to booking another trip here soon. We highly recommend staying at one of these Villas that Rimas offers. Thank you Rimas and we look forward to returning very soon!!!!
