We stayed in Song of Avila as a getaway for three couples. It worked out wonderfully well. The newly remodeled, light and airy home is nicely appointed with an open concept kitchen, living room, and dining room along with extra seating and dining on the adjacent outside deck. The appliances in the kitchen are nice and it is adequately stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and dishes to do meal prep, which we enjoyed. Each bathroom was equipped with nice, lush bath towels, its own blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and bath wash. The close proximity to the beach as well as walking trails was also a plus. It was nice to have beach chairs and an umbrella on hand. There was a nice new Weber BBQ to use however it was in a funny location right outside the garage. Overall it accommodated three couples well. The reasons for four stars and not five are: 1. The front of the house is on a busy street and you can hear the traffic especially in the early hours of the morning. While they did supply sound machines in the bedrooms, it takes a little getting used to. 2. While the seating in the living room was comfortable, there wasn’t enough for six adults at one time. Both of these negatives mildly affected our stay.
