Our stay at Darna Guesthouse was amazing. Sarah and her family welcomed us in, were super helpful with recommendations and booking anything we needed, including tea and biscuits on arrival! She booked us taxis to and from the airport, a lovely Hammam and massage at a beautiful riad and recommended lots of places not to miss in Tamraght. The weather was really cold but Sarah provided a small heater so we could be nice and cosy. The room was lovely, showers are heated by the sun so were nice and hot every day apart from our last day because there was a big storm. There are only four rooms at the guest house so breakfast is personalised for you daily and is absolutely amazing! Sarah even sourced gluten free bread for my friend and Leah made us gluten free pancakes! It was nice to chat to other guests too. There is ample balcony space for each room including hammocks and sofas/benches outside and you can see the sea. The property is at the top of the hill but it’s still only a 10-15 min walk to the sea as you can cut through the town. Most nights it was really quiet and chilled although there were some noisy neighbours on NYE but that’s to be expected. My friend joined me half way through the week and Sarah offered to have our room cleaned and fresh towels given mid-week for when my friend arrived which was lovely. Thank you Sarah, Youssef and Luna - I hope we’ll be back!
