I canā€™t recommend Gaja Rooms highly enough. Even before arriving, the owner, Demet, was incredibly helpful with tips and advice. The place feels newly refurbished; the rooms are spacious, spotless, and tastefully furnished, and I only regret staying for just one night. The location is idealā€”set in a very quiet part of the old town, yet perfectly placed for exploring the city and easily reaching great restaurants, cafĆ©s, and pubs. What truly made the stay outstanding, though, was Demetā€™s warm welcome: it felt less like staying at a guesthouse and more like visiting a friend.

This was a perfect stay for us. We very asked about our arrival and departure hours and the hotel provided us a very warm wellcome and even there were some Christmas cookies in our room and the reception area. The products used in the hotel are from sustainable sources. When we were leaving, Ms. Demet gave us some freshly baked pastery.

We stayed at Gaja Hotel for three nights. The owners, Demet and Gƶkhan, are wonderful! We visit Ayvalık at least once a year to see my husband's family, so we're very familiar with the area. We've stayed in many different places, and we're glad Gaja opened because now we know where to stay in the future. The hotel is located outside the busy area but is within walking distance to the center. It has a beautiful breakfast that we enjoyed every morning. The room was spacious, with AC, a refrigerator, and a safe. The hotel is very clean and modern, and the room had everything we needed. Thereā€™s a coffee shop nearby called Crown Coffee Roasteryā€”everything Iā€™ve tried there was great. Itā€™s an expert coffee shop with high-quality options. I also buy coffee beans from Crown; they have interesting blends, from red wine to pine honey. Thereā€™s a local shop, Moyy Atƶlye, right on the main street next to the hotel. Iā€™ve bought jewelry and clothing there over the years and enjoy using them. We enjoyed our stay at Gajaā€”itā€™s convenient yet private. We will definitely be back!
