Wonderful stay

Sabine and Jean-Luc’s place is delightful, as are they. A beautiful and relaxing place to stay, with a delightful garden where we had a picnic on our last night. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We definitely hope to return one day. Thank you Sabine and Jean-Luc.

Wonderful place

We had a wonderful holiday at le moulin de la follaine. Its a calm and quiet, lush place and a great location from which you can travel to all the wonders of the pays Loire. We stayed at the gite, resembling a cute cottage, for a week and a half. There is a beautiful private garden when you rent the gite, but the whole premise (pond included) is accessible, very pretty and filled with animals such as 4 great cats, geese and chickens. The hosts were welcoming and accomodating. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed here one night with 2 adults and 3 children. We've had an incredible experience, it was so peaceful and unique. There was a large garden for the children to play and various places to sit and enjoy the animals walking around, like cats, chicken and peacock, and watch the fish in the pond. The host welcomed us and immediately made diner reservations for us at a local restarant, which was very nice of him, because the nearest restaurant was at about 10 km and it seemed to become a busy night. The building is an old mill and the bedroom was also in that style, so it was a very nice cosy looking accommodation. Breakfast was served outside, that was a pleasant surprise. It was a very tasty breakfast and the hosts were nearby if we needed anything else. Altogether, our stay was amazing!

Nous avons été agréablement accueilli dans cette superbe propriété non loin des sites historiques. La suite parentale, où nous logions, est située sous les combles. Heureusement, la suite est climatisée. Accompagnés d’un enfant en bas âge, les équipements adaptés à bébé nous ont été mis à disposition. Pour dîner, l’hôte nous a réservé une table à proximité. Le matin un petit déjeuner gourmand nous a été servis. Si l’occasion se présente, c’est avec plaisir que nous y retournerons.

Just beautiful

What a wonderful location and a warm welcome given at moulin Follaine. Beautiful house and gardens. There’s even a chateau just a few steps from the house! Just ten minutes from Loches made Moulin Follaine a great base for exploring the Loire region. Lovely breakfast included with fresh breads, croissants, jam, yogurts. Highly recommend

Le cadre est vraiment apaisant et agréable. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par des hôtes aux petits soins et passionnés par leur moulin. Le cadre est verdoyant, les animaux y sont heureux. Les chambres traditionnelles sont agréables, nous y avons très bien dormi. Et nous commencions nos journées par un copieux petit déjeuner servi avec beaucoup d attention. Merci pour votre accueil. Du calme, du charme... un petit coin de Paradis

Sejour idéal en période de confinement. Des hôtes chaleureux et un cadre idyllique avec les animaux (chats, poules, paons, canards...) et un magnifique moulin, avec Jean-Luc qui l'a restauré et nous a fait des démonstrations de fonctionnement. Le moulin est légèrement excentré du village, sans un bruit aux alentours que l'eau qui coure doucement. Chambre très propre et confortable, pareil pour la salle de bain, petit déjeuner complet... et de bonnes adresses aux alentours pour trouver du vin :) Le coffre est plein !!! Un super séjour. Nous reviendrons !

Moulin à eau à ne pas rater !!

Excellent accueil par deux hôtes très sympathiques (et 4 chats calins !), un moulin très agréable très bien entretenu et qui fonctionne encore ! et un petit déjeuner copieux : nous recommandons très fortement !!! Un seul regret, ne pas être venus lors de la période chaude : le petit-déjeuner dans le jardin doivent être très agréables !! A préciser : pour les chambres du haut, venez avec de petites valises c'est plus pratique pour atteindre le deuxième étage !!

Ce fut une escale très agréable au cours de notre retour de Bretagne qui nous donne envie de revenir pour un plus long séjour afin de de découvrir la région sud-Touraine qui semble riche d’intérêts. Nuit dans un moulin qui tourne encore

Etape sur la route vers le sud de la France. Accueil fantastique et confort remarquable. Le grand plus réside dans le fait que tout se passe dans un vrai moulin dont on peut voir la roue exterieure mais aussi tous les engrenages internes. Et en plus, ça fonctionne ! Experience inoubliable : prendre le petit-déjeuner à côté de la machinerie qui jadis fabriquait la farine. Super séjour !

Séjour de charme proche des châteaux de la Loire

Les chambres d'hôtes sont installées au deuxième étage dans un vieux moulin, encore fonctionnel, qui a été très bien rénové. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et le propriétaire est passionné par le mécanisme de son moulin qui est l'un des rares encore en bon état. Les chambres sont très calmes et équipées de climatiseurs. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux ; il faut souligner la qualité des salades de fruits et même celle des crêpes, au delà des délicieuses confitures maison. Les informations sur les châteaux à visiter et sur les restaurants nous ont été très précieuses. Seul petit bémol indépendant de la qualité du lieu : le réseau téléphonique est localement faible. Le WIFI disponible permet pour partie de compenser cette lacune, heureusement. L'emplacement du moulin sur une grande île est très propice au calme et le parc arboré est très agréable. On peut y voir des canards sauvages et foulques qui y ont élu domicile. Par ailleurs, les propriétaires ont trois chats dont deux sont très câlins avec les visiteurs. C'est un endroit à recommander sans hésitation pour un séjour au calme et/ou pour la visite des superbes châteaux de la Loire environnants.

Cadre très agréable au bord de la rivière avec des étangs et un calme reposant. La propriétaire est accueillante et nous reçoit avec une boisson rafraichissante. Sécurité pour la voiture au fond de l'impasse. Gîte atypique par la décoration et l'ambiance apportée par le moulin. A recommander.
