Flying red ants everywhere (and other bugs). At first we thought they were termites but after checking with the hosts they are aparently flying red ants (I'm not sure which is worse). The house is not sealed very well from the elements which obviously allows bugs and insects inside. This was worse than staying in a tent and we even found some of the ants in our luggage after we got home. We spent the first night killing about 100 of them all night. It was hard to even cook dinner without them getting in our food. This was worse than staying in a tent, at least you can zip up your tent. This place had bugs coming up from the floor boards. Thanksfully there was a hotel in town that had vacancies so we only ended up staying here for 1 night instead of the 3 we booked. I've staying in 10/night hostels that were less gross than this place. Don't be fooled by it's location if you are looking to be close to Great Basin, it's not worth it.
