The staff is very helpful, especially the front desk on Saturday night. The bar in the lobby was an added perk. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We travel with my dog and definitely felt that the hotel is pet friendly.

I like the Hyatt Place hotels, but this one lacked badly for a clean bathroom. There was growing mold/mildew on the safety bar in the walk in shower, the floor had black mold on the shower pan and along the tracks for the shower door. It also smelled of mildew. I sent a message that included photos to the hotel housekeeping manager and operations manager, but no response. Very disappointing. The rest of the hotel was the normal standards and the front desk staff was awesome. Thankfully I always bring flip flops for the shower.

I was worried about staying in Bakersfield. This area was so nice and the hotel exceeded all expectations. The staff was nice, the room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was good and we would definitely stay here again if we were passing through.
