We picked this hotel based on rating, it did not live up to that rating. They make a huge deal about it being a non-smoking hotel, explaining to us in the check-in process that there were high cleaning charges for smoking in rooms. The first room they put us in reeked of cigarette smoke. The staff then gave us major attitude about switching rooms when we complained. We were in the rooms less then two minutes and wanted to know if we used anything in the room. The new room still had burn holes in the sheets and questionable stains on the walls. All rooms face outside hallways and the windows are thin, lots of outside noise into the room. There was garbage everywhere including the outside staircases which usually had cigarette and blunts littering the floor. The City View Bar in the parking lot was a constant source of noise and patrons took up the shared parking lot, which gave us issues finding a space. I had legitimate concerns if we would find our vehicle in the mornings, as there was a police presence at the bar both nights we were there. We never used the free breakfast as we did not want to risk getting ill. The area in my opinion is unsafe, which is not the hotel's fault, but I can't in good conscience recommend this hotel especially for those traveling with family.

The room was nice and clean. A garbage truck emptied two dumpsters outside my room at around 3 am which shook the room. There was no hot water for my shower in the morning. It came out of the sink but only became lukewarm after running for five minutes. Not a great morning.
