Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
1) check-in process was bumpy. They weren't prepared to receive guests even though they called the same morning to ask about my check-in time.
2) Out of 2 sconce lights, 1 was out in the bathroom and its shade was burned so I didn't think simply asking for a new bulb was the answer. That made getting ready hard in a semi-dark bathroom.
3) On their website they emphasize that they are not only about the "Bed" but also about the "Breakfast". They don't mention anywhere on their website the times they serve breakfast so I assumed they were flexible. At check-in I was told that breakfast is served at 8:30 and 9:30. I had to be out the door at 7:30 so these times didn't work for me. Initially, I was told they will check to see if anything could be done about it. Once the innkeeper returned, he called me to confirm I couldn't make the breakfast times, didn't offer any alternatives and encouraged me to make coffee using the self-serve machines on my way out. Had I seen their set breakfast times anywhere on their website, I wouldn't have stayed there.
