Jump on the free ski shuttle for a day on the slopes before returning to Canalta Lodge for a meal at the restaurant and a drink at the bar/lounge. Additional amenities include ski storage and ski passes.
Canalta Lodge offers 112 accommodations with coffee/tea makers and hair dryers. Beds feature premium bedding. Cable television is provided. Guests can make use of the in-room refrigerators and microwaves. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations and complimentary toiletries.

Needed a solid room for our trip to Banff. Canalta gives free breakfast with stay, a huge amenity when trying to get an early meal before taking on the wonders of Banff. When you get back enjoy the cold plunge and hot tub to soothe your muscles and get ready for the next day. AC was a little loud but overall great stay.

The hotel itself is nice. However, my overall experience was not great. I was stuck in the elevator for 38 minutes because of a power outage and got a pat on my back for not panicking; no apology, no offer to try to make amends. The housekeeping service was mediocre at best. I requested new sheets after my 4th night, but this request was never fulfilled. Also, I had to consistently ask for wash cloths during my stay. I also had an undesirable experience with respect to security and safety. There was loud banging on my room door at 5am. I was not expecting anyone so I panicked and called the front desk to report it rather than go to the door to see who was there-I called multiple times and there was no answer. Incident was later reported to the front desk in person and there was a nonchalant response. Will not be staying there ever again.

It’s Banff so you’re paying more than what the property is worth. Staff definitely were accommodating to move us rooms after dealing with an adjoining room with kids being loud and disrespectful with parents who didn’t care how they made noise. Kudos to amazing staff for the option for a room change.

Had many great stays in Banff but I gota say so far this stay was the best staff was super friendly and service was more than great. If you do stay there. Gota try the root beer they sell at the bar. And they’re chocolate bars that’s locally made in Canmore.

Excellent breakfast. Front desk staff were outstanding with helping us navigate Banff and book excursions. Hot tubs were such a great bonus after a long day of hiking. Very walkable to downtown Banff. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Banff!

We stayed here for a week to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is about a 10min walk from the downtown sector and has a bus stop right next to it. We found it super easy to pop back in after a hike to change for dinner. The staff was lovely and the room was perfect. We felt comfortable and relaxed when on property. There is also a lovely courtyard with two hot tubs that we enjoyed in the snow.

Excellent stay

Room was very clean, beds were comfortable. Loved the view and the little balcony to breathe in the fresh mountain air. The grill of the AC/Heater unit had mold on it, they need to clean these units and filters periodically. Overall very satisfied with the value for my stay, Mannon at front desk was fantastic! Personable, attentive, and professional. Would stay there again.

Just returned from a stay here. Really enjoyed it there. We had a 1 queen bed room that was a little small. Our adult kids shared a 2 queen bed room that was nice and spacious. Staff was super friendly. S’mores in the afternoon was a nice treat. And we played games in the evening that were provided. All in all a great place to stay!

From start to finish we enjoyed everything about our stay at Canalta and would absolutely come back. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating, we loved the free breakfast and heated underground parking. The room was cozy and clean with a beautiful view. It was a bit too chilly for us to enjoy the outside area but it looked lovely and we would like to come back to truly experience it. All in all excellent stay! 10/10

My absolute favorite hotel in Banff. So cozy, clean, and a great location. The staff is so nice, the spa is lovely and the breakfast is delicious. I go back every year! Already can’t wait for my next visit to the Canalta! Highly recommend!

Nice, but not overly spectacular. Sauna not quite hot enough. Hot tubs too many people. Corridors carpets and room carpet not super clean, some garbage laying on the floors.

This is a great spot to stay while in Banff. It’s a short work to the shopping and dining options. They have 2 great hot tubs and a cold plunge. The best part was free smores from 4-7!
