They used to provide a bar credit, restaurant credit, free take out am coffee in the restaurant & bus passes. This 3 day stay I had to ask for bus pass - it wasn’t offered - & coffee is almost $4! Exterior looks “pretty” but they are a long way from $800 per night status!!! Banff is expensive but shop around.

The suite was comfortable and we enjoyed the balcony which overlooked the main street. The bed was comfortable. We were able to walk to various restaurants and shops plus the hotel furnished two ROAM bus passes we used. The only complaint is that the elevator is very very slow.

We really liked this property and our room setup of bedroom on a different level than kitchen. Kids loved the grotto pool and we loved the free Roam passes. It was farther away from the river than we had thought but the bus was great.

The shower curtain smelled moldy and it was all yellowed at the bottom. I cleaned a few hairs off the bathtub before I used it. The bathroom is very dimly lit. The fireplace didn’t work at all. Not sure why a room would be that expensive for that type of uncleanliness

Fairly close to downtown Banff. Everything is walkable but may be 20 minutes because the area is rather large. Parking is tricky because it’s underground but available and included. Their washers broken so I had to walk 15 minutes to do laundry. My room was nice but although it had an AC unit, it did not help much at all. I think the lowest it ever got was 78. I had to use a fan at night.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay here. We didn’t get to enjoy the ‘grotto’, but only because there’s so much to do in the area. We had a balcony to enjoy coffee and people watch each morning (and enjoy the amazing view of banff in general). We walked into town each day, and barely needed the car we rented. Room was clean and cozy. Would def recommend!

We had a standard queen room but the room was on the small side. Missed having a bar fridge for storing water and leftovers. Biggest disappointment was lack of a/c, room was very warm despite using the fan provided and leaving the door ajar.

Overall the room condition

No WI-Fi service in room and you have to go to lobby to get service. No air condition, room is tiny. spending half hour to park our minivan car. The door lock is strange and is hard to lock up from outside.

The Fox and Suites is well located and the staff very friendly. Only complaint is the photos don’t really match the condition of the hotel. Wallpaper peeling, bathrooms in rough condition, ventilation needs updating. Overall I would recommend the hotel but look around because prices high for rooms condition.

The hotel rooms are very small no mini fridge no A/C. Both the rooms we had the doors and locks were broken. We needed the door locks and the jams to be fixed. The price per night very expensive for what was received

Hotel location was great! They provide free bus passes that allows you to go into downtown Banff without having to worry about parking. The hot tub and sauna were also great additions have long days spent hiking. On my downside is they only had a Chilli’s available as food options, which closed at 9 pm. So we were forced to eat out every night we were in Banff since we were getting back to our hotel past 8 each night.
