Very nice condo that was perfect for our trip to the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. The beds were very comfortable, the place was beautifully decorated, and it felt like we were staying in someone’s home rather than a vacation rental. There was everything we needed in the kitchen, just be sure to bring oil, seasonings, etc, if you plan to cook. Jules, the owner, communicated with us directly and was a joy to work with. We had rain during our summer visit, so our day two hiking plans were thwarted, but we enjoyed sitting on the covered deck with our breakfast listening to the rain.A few things to note that did not detract in any way from our visit but which could impact others: You need to go down several sets of steps to get to the property, and there is a narrow winding staircase that takes you to the downstairs master bedroom from the main floor. It was fine for our group but would be tough for people with mobility issues. The unit is one of several in the building. We could hear the people upstairs walking and see the next door deck from this unit’s deck, but overall the area was quiet. The drive to the unit has several winding, steep parts, so if you are traveling in snowy or icy weather, make sure you have 4 wheel drive and good tires.The unit was in a perfect location for visiting the slopes, hiking, or going to Grandfather Mtn. It is not isolated but rather is a rental for active people who plan to enjoy all the amazing activities the area offers! Great place
