Ledgelawn Cottage, a nineteenth century home on Bar Harbor's historic Ledgelawn Avenue, is steps from all the attractions of downtown and a few minutes from Acadia National Park. Stroll to the village green, restaurants, shops, theaters, museum, Shore Path, free Island Explorer bus, tennis courts, skateboard park, playground, and Sunday farmer's market. Acadia Park entrances are a few minutes' drive away. Ledgelawn Cottage offers lots of space for gathering and spreading out.
The home's entrance is a large enclosed porch with ample seating. Once inside, the first floor's five spacious rooms include the reading room with books for adults and children, and local maps and guidebooks, a comfortable living room with TV, a large fully stocked kitchen, the dining room with games and puzzles, and seating for eight to ten, and our big new family room currently under construction, with TV, gas fireplace, and a queen sized pullout couch providing a completely private first floor bedroom.
The first floor also includes a powder room, separate shower room, and laundry.
The second floor has a full bath, an office with two desks, and four spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed. There is a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a room with a double brass four-poster, and a room with two twin beds. A pack-and-play and a wooden toddler bed are also provided.
Outdoors, there are a gas grill, lawn seating, and picnic tables. The driveway holds up to three cars.
