Beautifully updated cabin located on the St. Mary's River. There are two bedrooms and two baths. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other had a king and a queen. There is also a sleeper sofa in the sunroom. The kitchen is huge and has everything you will need to prepare meals for your friends and family. This location has access to some of the best fishing and boating in Michigan. Fish for walleye, perch, musky, pike and many other species!! Go for a pleasure cruise on some of the most beautiful water in the country. Watch the freighters from the front deck, they seem so close you can almost reach out and touch them. Tie up your boat or launch your kayaks, canoe or water toys from the dock located right out front. Located a mile and a half upriver is The Cozy Corners restaurant with excellent food and drinks. There are 2 convenience stores located within 2 miles of this property one with fuel and ice cream. In the fall you could easily leave the dock or launch your boat @ Connelly Point to fish or duck hunt. Winter time activities include ice fishing and snowmobiling within a close distance.

property was nice, Starlink internet for the area was a nice touch, really enjoy the spaciousness of the home. The kitchen and long table connected to the counter was great for hanging out. The cargo ships going by was fun to watch. We even had a moose hang out with us for awhile. Great restaurant just at the end of the road and not too far of a drive to shopping. The house did get a little warm during the day.

Family visit

Lower Dam Lodge in September

Lower Dam Lodge was a nice, comfortable, place to stay in the upper peninsula in the fall. Watching the ships pass by on the St. Marys river was a bonus.

The property really was quite lovely. It's an older home that has been carefully and beautifully renovated. Very nicely equipped, it has everything we could even think of. It was as clean as it could have possibly been. The owners were friendly and helpful. They always responded promptly. In short I think this was our best VRBO stay yet.

Beautiful!

We loved watching a variety of huge ships/freighters pass by right in our backyard, on the beautiful, peaceful St Mary's River, several times each day! The house is very clean and spacious with comfy furniture. Be sure to go on the interesting Soo Locks Boat Tour in Sault St Marie. Also, Cozy Corners restaurant is right down the street and has great food and a beautiful riverfront! Thanks for letting us bring our fur babies, Jessica and Chris! Highly recommend Lower Dam Lodge for a peaceful, relaxing, fun and interesting U.P. getaway!

Fishing trip with friends

The cabin was perfect - comfortable, spacious, clean and well-cared for. We spent more time inside than originally intended (Mother Nature was not as accommodating as the property owners) but it did provide a great appreciation for the condition of the cabin. We would eagerly stay again and have made a recommendation to several of our friends to check it out!

Fantastic 4th of July at Lower Dam Lodge

We loved our stay at the Lower Dam Lodge. Brought our boat and tied up to the pier. Enjoyed fires each night on the lake shore. The younger kids caught perch each day right off the pier. House was set up perfectly. Clean and had all the little things needed for cooking in the kitchen. We enjoyed use of the grill as well. We had a lot of fun watching the ships roll through the cut right in front of us. The owners (Chris and Jessica) were awesome, super responsive and very helpful. We would love to come back some time.

The owners are excellent communicators! Very kind and helpful! The furniture is very comfortable and relaxing. We were able to see freighters right outside the windows and a group of deer that bed down right by the house every night. The amenities that Jessica and Chris have for guests are so generous! Soaps, lotions, fluffy pillows and towels, and so much more! Charming and beautifully decorated!! Overall a truly beautiful and comfortable home, excellent amenities, and over the top thoughtfulness on behalf of the owners. We would love to return!
