Tucked at the end of a quiet dirt road — away from the crowds, away from the noise, and entirely your own — this beautifully renovated second-floor apartment sits directly on the shores of Harvey's Lake, one of Vermont's most beloved lakes in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom. With lake views from your elevated perch, a private dock below, and thoughtfully designed interiors that blend modern comfort with classic Vermont character, this is the kind of place you'll start planning your return trip before you even leave.
This is not your average camp rental. Every detail has been considered.
The Space
Step into a bright, airy apartment that feels both fresh and warm. Warm wood floors run throughout, exposed brick adds character and texture, and the overall vibe is cozy-modern — the kind of space that feels immediately like somewhere you want to be. Natural light pours in, and the lake is right there, framed in your windows.
The fully renovated kitchen features updated cabinetry and brand-new modern appliances — clean lines, everything you need to cook a proper meal, with a full-size refrigerator, oven and range, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and a complete set of cookware, dishes, cups, and utensils. The living area is furnished with modern, comfortable pieces that complement the space without overwhelming it — easy to relax in, easy to just be in.
The private bedroom is a quiet retreat, and the fully renovated bathroom — with a beautifully finished walk-in shower — is fresh and spotless. In-unit washer and dryer access means you can pack light and stay as long as you like.
The Views and Water Access
Being on the second floor means you get something most lakefront rentals can't offer: an elevated, unobstructed view of the water. Harvey's Lake stretches out before you, and whether you're having your morning coffee or winding down in the evening, the view is simply exceptional.
When you're ready to get on the water, it's just a short walk down to your private dock — perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking, or just sitting with your feet over the edge. The lakefront yard is shared only with guests of the adjacent apartment, keeping the space uncrowded and genuinely private.
The Location
The property sits at the end of a private dirt road — the kind of place where you immediately exhale when you arrive. There are no other vacation rentals crowding the view, no foot traffic, no street noise. Just the lake, the trees, and the quiet that Vermont does better than anywhere.
And yet you're not remote in any inconvenient way. Main roads are close, and St. Johnsbury — with its excellent cafes, the acclaimed Fairbanks Museum, bookshops, and local restaurants — is just a short drive. The broader Northeast Kingdom offers hiking, cycling, farm stands, covered bridges, and some of Vermont's most spectacular fall foliage. Montreal is approximately 2 hours away; Burlington under 2 hours.

A Note on the Property
The rental apartment is the upper-floor unit of a private home. The lakeside yard and dock are shared with guests of the lower-level apartment only, should it be rented during your stay. All other areas of the home — including the ground-floor living spaces and other rooms — are private and not part of this rental. Guests are warmly welcome in their apartment and the shared outdoor spaces, and we ask that all boundaries be respected as you would in any private home.
