Rue de la Promenade is one of the most pleasant addresses in Barr — lined with greenery, it offers a peaceful, residential setting just steps from the town's historic center.
Barr is a town full of character, less crowded than Colmar or Obernai, but just as charming with its half-timbered houses, market, and lively streets.

Transit
On foot: Rue de la Promenade is ideally located for walking to Barr's town center, its shops, restaurants, wine cellars, and local market in under 5 minutes.
By bike: Barr connects to the Wine Route cycling paths, allowing you to reach Obernai, Mittelbergheim, or Andlau by bike on quiet roads through the vineyards. A must for taking in the Alsatian scenery. Bike rentals are available locally.
By train: Barr station is a ten-minute walk from the accommodation. It serves Strasbourg in 35 minutes and Sélestat in 20 minutes via the Strasbourg–Saint-Dié regional train (TER), with regular service on weekdays and weekends.
By car: the A35 is under 10 minutes from Barr, giving access to Strasbourg (30 min), Colmar (40 min), Obernai (10 min), and Sélestat (20 min). Barr is also an ideal starting point for exploring the Wine Route and the Vosges villages at your own pace.
