I booked a grand suite. We arrived and the suite seemed fine. My husband has business meetings and I wanted a second room so I wouldn't bother him. When we arrived we heard a lot of banging noises. We left out for an hour or so and when we returned the banging was still going on. It eventually stopped. The next and only full day we had an early breakfast. When we returned to the room the noise was louder banging and drilling like we were in the middle of a construction zone. I had taken some medicine and had partially lost my voice. I tried to get some rest but I had to call and ask about the noise. I was told that there was some remodeling was going on and that the workers got off at 5pm. Next I went down to reception to ask to be moved to another equivalent room and informed them that the noise was giving me a headache. I was told that a manager would be called and I was told they would call in 5 minutes. One hour later they called and would send a bellman up to help move us to the another room. My husband had a 12:30 zoom meeting scheduled. We made it to the new room with a half hour to spare. The new room was a king suite which was one big room. At check out I requested a credit for the difference in cost for the room. The mgr Lusema refused stating that they had given us a room in a newer tower which was better than our original room. Lusema and receptionist Luisa seemed annoyed with me for requesting a credit for the downgraded room. I will not be back

The from desk team are very unprofessional. I paid extra for an extra bed since I had a surgery. I waited more that 4 hrs for the bed and we went 2 times downstairs and nobody give us any answer. Also, when we did the check out we requested the front desk to send someone to help us and they didn’t send anyone to help us with the luggage.

Honestly we love staying here because it is very safe, close to many things. You can walk to anything. The rooms are clean, they are currently renovating it to make it look better. They do need to work on the service at the front desk, those folks are not friendly and not well trained.

I was concerned about the hotel due to the bad reviews but decided to go ahead. The hotel was clean and quiet. The room was well maintained and very comfortable. The bedding and the quality of the mattress was very good. The quality of the bath towels could use some improvements. The staff was excellent and I would stay there again if I am in Barranquilla.

I have been in this hotel for several times and have been always an excellent choice, but there's time to start remodeling the rooms, the years started to appear. The breakfast has been always very good and beds are great! John.
