Workable for one night

We chose this spot as a stopover during a family road trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and the hotel was quiet, enabling us to have a good night's sleep. That said, the shower in our room was broken, which wasn't ideal. In addition, the pool, which was advertised as a huge attraction, is actually pretty small. There were hairs floating throughout the pool and no towels available (we had to ask the front desk to bring towels). It was workable for a one-night stop, however, this would not be a hotel I'd stay at for an extended period. I would seek other options in this area in the future.

The wash cloths that were in our room upon arrival had black stains on them. We called the front desk and the apologized and assured us that the room had been clean. They brought us new towels but of course youre gonna question if the rolm had been thoroughly cleaned. Needless to.say, we won't be staying at a Monte Carlo Inn again.

Check in was fine, hard time understanding the person behind counter. There was no shampoo, just hair conditioner in room. The pool was dirty, the room was nice but found someone else’s headband in the room, and there was no food available for breakfast, coffee was cold, so all in all not very good. Have stayed here many times before, but this stay was very, very disappointing.

Rooms were musty from what I am guessing is a recent carpet shampoo. Water is shared between rooms, so pressure and temperature fluctuate wildly. Hallways are not cleaned regularly except front entrance. Extra fee for eggs potatoes and bacon in addition to the free continental breakfast is not worth it. Just microwaved dry bland waste of money. Staff are great and they try as best they can. Owner needs to invest more for repairs and refurbishment.
