This is not a bad hotel but its not a really great one either. It might be typical in a small european city.

My last choice if ever again

The hotel photo is nothing like the actual. It is in fact dingy. There is no elevator. For those that have access issues the stairs to the floor where the hotel rooms are steep. The bathroom is tiny again those that might need ADA. No AC or fan. Window for my room opened to the parking lot No draft. I wouldn't return even for 1 night for a layover. At 7am-8:30am there was a woman practicing her opera. Limbering her lungs. Very uncool. Hotel responded and did ask her to stop.

You get what you pay for

No elevator on premises... Parking on the building's back patio, no internal connection: You must carry luggage on the street and up a few stairs to the lobby and then to your room.

Good for short stays

The hotel is very basic. It is perfect if you stay just one night and fly from Basel airport. For longer stays avoid. It is a bit costly for what it offers.

Internet connection?

All in all the visit was not a great experience. The biggest problem was the failure / weak service of the internet service.

No hot water and no one cared

I had no hot water in the morning. When I tried to ask about it (and I don't speak French) I found out by mime that other people in the hotel didnt have hot water either and that is where it stopped.

Great place to overnight for the Euro Airport, which is 2 kms away. Just spent the night so didn't get to enjoy all the amenities of the hotel. Clean, bright rooms, friendly staff, near the train station. Good all around

Hotel of Last Resort

I registered my boss at this hotel as there was little else available during a convention time in Basel nearby.. She left within 3 hours. She did not feel safe, she could find no one who spoke English in the hotel, there was no internet in the hotel. There are no food options in the hotel and nearby cafes were of poor quality and she was afraid to keep looking further. Through Expedia she found another hotel and moved immediately.
