Overall, we had a good experience. The property was clean. The view was very nice on the top level. Landscaping was well done and maintained. It was interesting that we had to go outside to access the other two bedrooms upstairs. We were missing a garbage can in the second bathroom downstairs and the smart TVs did not work, even though we reset it as we were instructed to do so. The really big issue we had with our stay was that the cleaning crew overlooked the recycle bin being emptied out prior to our arrival. It looked like someone had put their garbage in the recycle bin by mistake, causing a bear to hang around and going through it for 24 hours before it was removed. I will note, the host was professional and communicated with us throughout our stay.

Excellent Bass Lake Stay

Beautiful Bass Lake rental in prime location with a nearby boat slip. House is well maintained, furnished, and very spacious. Lots of room to stretch out and spaces to spend time together. Very quiet room to room and little to no outside noise. Host is accessible/responsive. Overall this rental exceeded our expectations, we would book this again!

Beautiful home, great decor, super comfy beds

we try to fly to Bass Lake every year to connect with some childhood friends in CA who have been coming every year for 40+ years as a family tradition. I decided to spend a bit more to go a bit more upscale compared to the usual homes I rent. this place looked beautiful online and was even better in person. my daughters went crazy as we drove up to the beautiful outside. The inside was super clean and decorated beautifully. the upstairs addition provided a great view of the lake and at night sitting in the dark looking at the stars was one of our favorite end of day activities. The beds were super nice and I slept great. one night I hosted 3 other families at the house for a nachos dinner and the kitchen layout made it easy to have everyone step through the food without stepping over each other. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. My kids want to come back to this spot next year if possible. Well worth the extra dollars.

Great home! Great location w good lake access close by. Home very well maintained w comfortable beds. I wished there was some small amount of storage for our paddle boards and kayak. Nervous keeping it outside. Dang Bear came every night and went through the trash. Needs better Bear cans!! We would stay again though.

Over Priced and Odd layout

Enjoyed our stay over all but I'll give the quick pros and cons. Pros: Nice European looking house Clean Close to lake and The Pines Decent views of the lake Cons Told me Jacuzzi was closed for the whole summer several days after the booking was complete claiming safety because it was too hot outside yet leaves the photos up of the jacuzzi and doesn't offer any discount for this when its a main feature??? This should be disclosed Also several days after paying for the booking host emails that to use the boat doc below the house it requires $200 extra deposit. Odd The only room in the main house is the master. The 2 other bedrooms you have to walk outside and up steep patio stairs by the bbq to get to these two rooms which share one bathroom. This should be disclosed in the listing. Also no towels were in this bathroom. There was ZERO internet the entire stay so no TV also there in almost zero cell service. 2 Extra guest fees when we only had 6 people total On arrival trash was all over the front lawn as the previous people or cleaning crew didnt put lid on correct and an animal had tore a bag open which I cleaned up. Over all I think the price that we paid was very high for what it was.

Most unpleasant experience

We arrived to a beautiful home, however, the snow had not been properly cleared to access the home. The heat was not on in the home due to the propane tank being turned off. I was able to get the heat on only to find out later there was no hot water. Day 2 finally got the water heater turned. Morning of day 3 lost water to the house. Was told water was not going to be repaired in a timely manner. The management team offered to move us to another rental that was located on the side of a mountain! Stairs, stairs stairs. Not a good fit for elderly/disabled folks. Located our own property to finish out our stay. Communication during this whole process was poor at best. Called the management company several times to only get a recording and never a call back. Side note the 2 additional bedrooms are upstairs and the only access is to walk outside in the rain up the stairs.

Beautiful place and local to everything

We enjoyed the place. It is located close to the lake, the pine resort, and local restaurants. The upstairs outdoor bbq/kitchen area is beautiful and provides a wonderful view of the surrounding area. The house was clean and everything was provided in the house. The only thing that wasn't clear on the listing is that two of the bedrooms are separate from the main house and you can only access them by going outside and upstairs to them.

This is IT!

This place is a property to make memories. Have you ever stayed at a place that JUST didn’t measure up to the pictures? It seemed a bit less than you expected… or worse? Reverse that feeling for this property. This looks like an amazing property, and what it is… is better! The term “LAP OF LUXURY” comes to mind. Another phrase “a home to die for.” A most beautiful place, a great location, every amenity you can imagine. And a receptive TEAM is readily available to address any question you have. I thought this would be a nice retreat from Yosemite as I took my kids to Badger to learn to ski. Every plan I had fell through, but it still was the best vacation and a maker of memories. We summited our first hill, a few miles away. We had our first snowball fight, built a Frosty, played monopoly for hours, grilled meats and jacuzzied our rears off, walked some meandering country lanes, netflixxed way too many silly kids programs…. And that just scratches the surface to how great the location, amenities, and comforts are! When we didn’t even get to anything we planned to do, didn’t take full advantage of the home and location, and still had the best time ever… you KNOW the property is a winner. And, this was. It REALLY WAS!
