The space
Imagine: You arrive at Bluejay Bay and the first thing you notice is the inviting private hot tub waiting for you on the deck, perfect for unwinding under the stars after your journey. Step inside our luxury mountain chalet just steps to Lake Laura, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame flood the cozy living room with light.

Mornings start slow here, as you sip complimentary coffee from at our cozy coffee corner, at the farmhouse table, or out on the patio, surrounded by fresh mountain air and birdsong.

Spend quiet moments in the loft’s reading nook or catch up on work at the fully equipped desk. When it’s time for fun, head to the basement for ping pong, foosball, board games, or lounging on the plush sectional while watching the Roku TV or competing on the Playstation.

Outside, watch sunsets from the porch swing or gather around the firepit for marshmallow roasting. The charcoal grill awaits to fire up a smoky delight, or the fully equipped kitchen provides all you need to cook in an Insta-worthy setting featuring a farmhouse sink and breakfast island.

At day’s end, refresh in spa-inspired bathrooms with powerful waterfall showers and fluffy towels. Unwind on our comfy King or Queen beds, the Master bedroom providing your favorite shows streaming from the Roku TV.

• Pests are endemic to our area. We have regular preventative pest control, but it's possible that a critter might sneak inside. Please help us keep them out by keeping windows & doors closed.
• Bears and other animals are also endemic to our area. Please be cognitive of surroundings, especially at night. Help us keep our property clean and local animals safe by securing all garbage inside the provided cans at the top of the driveway. Absolutely NO loose trash may be discarded in the garbage cans.
Guest access
The entire cabin is available to you. This is our personal vacation home & the decor throughout is dedicated to our angel daughter. Please treat it with the same respect as if it were your own home.

Guests will have access via a door code, which is sent to you in the first messages after booking. The code is valid from check-in time until check-out. Early arrival/late departure must be requested in advance and may not be granted, depending on the turnover schedule.

Please ensure to download offline maps or have directions pulled up prior to navigating to the home. Cellular service in the surrounding area is spotty until you arrive at the home and can log onto our free Wifi! (Be sure to note the Wifi password and door code beforehand for easy entry upon arrival)

Please note: This house is in a forest, please pay attention to any children and pets.
Please note: Pets must be leashed when outside per HOA rules (there are also bears and bobcats).
Please note: All guests and pets must be booked on the reservation. There is a one-time pet fee.
Other things to note
There is a futon in the loft as well as a luxury air mattress in the loft closet. It is recommended that these be used for children, or those a bit more rugged Bedding and pillows for these are in the closet as well.

There is no laundry access.

The fireplaces are strictly off-limits

In the winter, a 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle or a vehicle with snow tires is highly recommended.

The driveway is steep and gravel. Please back down the driveway to more easily exit. Or, feel free to pull in and park at the top of the driveway before the incline. There is also space for 2 cars off the street, if preferred.

This cabin offers its guests ski-in/ski-out access and a hot tub. Barbecue grills and an arcade/game room are also featured at the family-friendly cabin.

This Basye cabin is smoke free.
