Charming Central Apartment with Garden Oasis

Summary:

This comfortable, very central two bedroom apartment is arranged over two floors. New King Street is ideally located, with everything the UNESCO city of Bath has to offer, right on the doorstep. The Roman Baths, Thermae Spa and train station are all within a few minutes walk of the apartment and Kingsmead Square just down the road hosts an array of wonderful cafes, restaurants and bars.



The Space:

Entering the apartment on the ground floor, you come into a hallway leading to the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The lovely light master bedroom has a double bed and two chests of drawers for clothes storage. The second bedroom, to the rear of the property, over looks the garden and has a double bed, small chest of drawers and a small hanging space. The tastefully fitted bathroom enjoys a bath, shower and WC.

As you descend the stairs into the basement level of the apartment you will find a cosy lounge with large TV that enjoys afternoon sun with windows looking out the garden. Next to the lounge is the fully equipped, modern kitchen including dishwasher, Lavazza coffee machine, toaster, oven with gas hobs, microwave and fridge freezer. Here you can enjoy your morning coffee at the breakfast bar with seating for four. For your convenience the property has a washer dryer situated in a hallway cupboard.

A back door leads out onto a shared garden, with seating.

Lovely flat in Bath

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely 4 days in Bath at this well appointed flat with easy proximity to the very cute town center. Rebecca was very responsive and communicative. We highly recommend!

While the location is excellent and right in the heart of town, this property does not look like the pictures. In fact, this felt like a bait and switch. The duvet covers and towels were clean, but there were no plush bed covers topping the beds. Instead, there were thin, knit blankets which were dirty and stained. The bathroom was damp, moldy, and dirty. The furniture and carpets were dirty and frayed. The backyard was overgrown and often used by a smoking neighbor, who stared into the flat. The kitchen window area was in need of a weeding/cleaning. During our stay, there were multiple maintenance issues. While the rental company was quick to respond, they never offered any discount or compensation. Overall, I’m sad to say, this property was overpriced and not what was advertised.
