Step into your peaceful woodland hideaway, designed for comfort, calm, and a true connection with nature. The burnt-larch cabin blends seamlessly into the surrounding trees, welcoming you with warm, natural light streaming through large sliding glass doors. Inside, the space has been carefully curated with natural and sustainable materials, creating a cozy yet luxurious retreat. A double Murphy bed with a full-thickness mattress ensures a restful night’s sleep, while two single beds on the mezzanine, accessed via a wooden ladder, offer a charming hideaway perfect for children or friends.
Thoughtful touches make your stay effortless: books, board games, tea and coffee facilities, high-quality towels, plush robes, and Aesop products add a touch of comfort and indulgence. The lounge area with views of the garden invites you to linger over your morning coffee, soaking in the peaceful surroundings and embracing life at a slower pace.
Outside, your cabin extends into a series of private, beautifully considered spaces. Step from the cabin onto the decking, perfect for a morning coffee wrapped in a warm blanket. A pathway leads you to a Mediterranean-style gravel courtyard featuring a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and seating area, ideal for relaxed winter lunches or an intimate outdoor meal. Through an open doorway, you’ll find the wood-fired hot tub, available by request, offering a soothing spot to soak and unwind, surrounded by the serene sounds of nature.
Rustic seating, a hammock, and a fire pit provide cozy spots to curl up with a blanket, share a drink, or enjoy some marshmallows over the flames. Towards the side of the garden is an enchanting allotment-style area with raised beds filled with seasonal vegetables ready to harvest. Guests are welcome to help themselves and cook their bounty over the fire pit, creating a comforting, hands-on experience that warms both body and soul. Every outdoor area has been thoughtfully arranged to provide privacy, comfort, and a chance to enjoy the quiet magic of the landscape.
Nestled behind the High Street in charming Batheaston, the cabin is just a short stroll from the scenic canal, which winds all the way into Bath, an easy drive for a leisurely day out or a pleasant walk for the more adventurous. We are available to make recommendations for local cafes, restaurants and attractions- please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Guests have full exclusive access to the cabin and all surrounding fenced off outdoor spaces, including the outdoor kitchen, fire pit, courtyard and allotment garden. The wood-fired hot tub is also available upon request.
The cabin is accessed via a pathway around the main house, up some steps and through the garden into a fenced off area which is your own for the duration of your stay. The mezzanine with two single beds is reached by a wooden ladder, so please take care when using it.
Free on-street parking is available along the High Street in Batheaston. Certain areas of the property remain private, Gaby, Matthew and Françoise live in the main house and have their own portion of the garden that they also share with some free roaming chickens. Guests are kindly asked to respect these private areas, in turn, the owners will also respect your privacy during your stay.
To make your stay even more special, we offer the following extras (all bookable in advance):
-Wood-fired hot tub - £50 per stay. Includes logs and kindling prepared for your arrival.
-Private Pilates session with owner Gaby - £60 for 1 hour. A tailored, calming session held in the cabin.
-Paddle board hire - £10 per board per stay (April–October) Ideal for exploring the nearby canal.
