Disliked: Cleanliness
The Bawley Beach house is a wonderful house for summer, in an excellent location. Its upstairs master bedroom has phenomenal views and is very relaxing. However it lacked a Dryer - which although part of the listing states “please note no dryer”, two other parts indicate it has a dryer. Regardless, a large house, in that location, at this price - and during winter stays or even summers where it is wet and cancellation, a dryer is expected - a decent one capable large loads of towels/sheets. We stayed 6. We asked for new linen since there was no dryer but this was not accommodated. We had a few overcast very cold days at the beginning making it hard to line dry anything. For a winter rental - it lacks good heating. The fireplace - we had to go out to buy lighters/matches, and additional wood, which given lack of other heating available, felt mean. Also we had a couple of days with high wind gusts, where the smoke that was meant to go up the chimney, blew back down. And since it is an old fire place that doesn’t seal adequately, the smoke was all through the living room setting off smoke alarm. New dishwasher however the plates in the draws didn’t fit it and hence the plates in the draws were very dirty since the dishwashing arm couldn’t rotate. I went to Kmart and bought plates that did fit for 1 each. Would love to stay again but a holiday shouldn’t have that much stress and things to work around. Wouldn’t rebook until dryer in, heating avail for winter, new pl&pans kitch

Disappointing

Location is great. Price not right for state of the house, which needs some attention and maintenance. Fly screens were broken (forced entry)
