What a great cabin getaway to enjoy the sites and have the luxury to be close to some great hikes including Burgess Falls state park and Fall creek falls state park. The property manager and staff were exceptional and we experienced an expedited response to our needs! Our experience to the property was clean and comfortable!
My family and I have stayed at Mine Lick Creek several times and we always enjoy ourselves with the area and services. Vinnie is Great! courteous and responsive
The only thing we were bummed about was it stated lakeside view. We thought we’d be able to walk to the lake from cabin. The view was beautiful and you could see the lake it was at a distance.
Absolutely loved it, particularly the large deck with an amazing view. Great decor and furnishings, only down is the listing saying 2 bedrooms is a bit misleading. The upstairs is one big room with beds on each end. In my opinion at least the master bedroom should have a door.
Absolutely amazing spot. Definitely will be coming back. Very clean camping venue and the people were very nice and stayed on top of their job and what it takes to make sure not only me and my family but all the other families have a good smooth and very clean trip. The lady bug thing everyone is talking about, clearly shows me that your not to fond of the atmosphere of the mountains especially in the Tennessee Mountains and close to water. Lady bugs are good luck and there are no other bugs to worry about. I loved the fact that the closest Walmart was over 45 minutes away and when you walk out side you can here them hunting dogs doing their jobs and them hunters are enjoying life in the woods. My over all ratings of this place is a 9 and with that being said I don't give 10's on anything unless it's brand new and I'm the first to stay in it. The views were absolutely stunning.
First, the bad: I chose this property because I was traveling with my girlfriend and her teen son, and the listing said it had two bedrooms. This is not correct. It has a loft with 1 bed at one end and two beds at the other. There is no privacy between the sleeping areas. This created some....shall we say...frustration?Also, description includes a coin-op laundry but that is in an apartment complex nearby; even worse, when asked about doing laundry I was told it was out of service. They offered to have the "staff" wash the laundry but at a cost of 10 per load. Speaking of staff and laundry.... The laundry and maintenance room for all the cabins seems to be underneath this cabin. When my GF and I had a moment of freedom (when her son went for a hike), we were treated to the sounds of people working in the basement. There's not much sound insulation and we could hear them pretty clearly, so we weren't comfortable enjoying ourselves. Now, the good: Communication with the host was responsive. The location is convenient to hiking trails and the beautiful lake. The area looks like it's in development and provides several camp sites with hookups for RVs/Travel Trailers as well as a few other cabins. There is a neat deck overlooking the lake and would be a great place for a picnic. The cabin itself was simple but clean. The deck has a great view and a basic BBQ pit. I would say it's a good value for what it really is. If accurately described, I would give it 4.5 stars
