This is a very private property on the historic Caney Creek. Once the mouth of the Colorado River millions of years ago, this creek welcomed Conquistadors, French expeditions, and was the original plantations of Stephen F. Austin who died in near by West Columbia. Your group will have a wonderful place to relax and fish, cook in our huge, well furnished kitchen, and enjoy our Gig-a-net Wireless along with many smart home features! We had an awesome stay! The accessibility features were great for us and I would recommend them to anyone who needs wheelchair accessibility. The yard is huge and was perfect for our dogs! Our host Mitch communicated well and made sure we were well looked after! The fishing was great- was able to catch redfish, black drum, sheepshead, catfish, speckled trout and even an alligator gar right off the dock. The lights in the fishing area light up the river for great night fishing! There are a couple good restaurants close, we loved tiki pizza and the crab trap grill. We are looking forward to booking here again and would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a nice private place on the water.

The house is beautiful, large and furniture was very comfortable. Mitch was very easy to communicate with. The house is beautifully decorated, and we had everything we needed, including lots of pots and towels. I will definitely stay at Mitch's place again.

We had a blast. The location is private and quiet. My grandson had the best time running around the open yard. The fishing was awesome the 1st 2 nights. We caught a 4 foot gar and at least a 3 lb blue cat.

Wonderful House thank you Mitch, for always taking care of us and reaching out and making sure we were OK and to let us know about that awesome pizza place that was new in town we always trying to help small businesses as we’re also a family owned business and we just opened our daughter’s new livin salty business 3 years ago. the house was very roomy. We had plenty of towels plenty of space wonderful fishing place and was able clean the fish outside. Awesome lighting. We made some wonderful new family memories there very blessed. Definitely will be back.

A quiet escape.

This property is located in a quiet laid-back area. You were able to fish from the dock and enjoy the privacy. The house is huge and perfect for those who need easy access to all areas. The owner has wonderful communication. We will probably visit this place again and again.

Beautiful home!

The home doesn’t look as big as the pictures when you pull up in the driveway but when you walk in it’s as if you stepped inside Mary Poppins purse! The house is spacious and nice. Mitch is very responsive and gets back ASAP. Would stay here again!

The house was clean and roomy. Recent rains had resulted in tall grass, mosquitoes, and bugs inside. Both grills were out of service. The owner had promised a replacement within 24 hours of arrival but failed to show. The screens on the outside building were torn. We couldn't keep the mosquitoes out. The gazebo on the patio was broken and had ragged remains of a tarp hanging from it. Maintenance on the outside area would have improved the stay.

Lovely stay

Excellent home for a family gathering. Me and my family really enjoyed fishing on the dock. Made some smores on the last night for the little ones. We will be back next year.
