With trailer parking and direct access to the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway, adventure is right outside your door.

The Space:
Welcome to Shorty’s View, a cozy one-bedroom cabin perched at the edge of a cliffline with sweeping valley views in the heart of Red River Gorge.

Inside, you’ll find a comfortable queen bed and a cute closet for your belongings. A back door from the bedroom leads directly onto the porch with easy access to the private hot tub. The cabin includes a full bathroom with washer and dryer for convenience, and a living room with Roku TV so you can stream your favorite shows and movies (just log in with your own accounts). The kitchen is equipped with both a standard drip coffee maker and a Keurig-style machine for quick morning brews.

Step outside to enjoy the spacious deck with seating, a charcoal grill, and a large fire pit surrounded by benches — perfect for evenings under the stars. There’s also plenty of grassy space for parking trailers of any size, making it ideal for guests bringing side-by-sides or off-road vehicles. The cabin sits right where the road meets the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway, offering immediate access into the Daniel Boone National Forest for adventure, exploration, and unforgettable experiences in nature. The DBBB trails here link to most of the popular spots. And you can even link the dirt roads all the way to 1036 where Hollerwood offroad park is depending on your off road capabilities!

For the climbers!
This cabin is located just 5 minutes West from the PMRP world class climbing destination! With crags such as The Motherlode, The Chocolate Factory, Drive-By, and Bob Marley.

Guest Access:
Guests will enjoy a private entrance and full access to the entire cabin and surrounding property. Relax in the year-round hot tub, gather around the outdoor fire pit, or cook on the charcoal grill. Please note that charcoal and firewood are not provided, so plan to bring your own if you’d like to use these amenities.

The Neighborhood:
A feeling of seclusion hits when you make it to the cabin. A very peaceful neighborhood with plenty of space between our cabin and the other homes.
The main road is fully paved, but it runs right into a dirt road that takes you down into the valley, where you can ride off road vehicles to explore and adventure in the Daniel Boone National forest.

Getting Around:
The property sits 25 minutes from Natural Bridge State park, Miguels pizza, Daniel Boone Coffee shop.
20 minutes from the Gorge Underground kayaking, and RRG Zipline adventures.
Just 10 minutes to the PMRP climbing area.

Other Things to Note:
Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.

Pets are allowed at this cabin for a pet fee of $50. Please be sure to add pets to your reservation. If you do not see where to do this, let us know.
This cabin utilized filtered city water and is safe for all uses.
4x4 is not required to get to this cabin.
Cell service may be spotty depending on your provider, but there is starlink internet.
We do not sell or provide firewood.
