There was broken mirror shards on the bed in my first room and I asked for a second room. The second one smelled so horribly of cigarette smoke, the smell made it hard to breath, hard to sleep, and it got into all of my clothes. There were ants in the bathroom. The pool room was creepy, the doors to the outside were not all kept locked, and the "gym" only had 3 pieces of equipment and all were broken. The staff was nice, but I would never stay here again.

I always like Microtel and this one is one of the best - clean, nice staff, easy accessible. I especially like the 24 hour availability of coffee, hot water, drinking water in the lobby. Also, very close to Ghent!

Clean and quiet. Good bed. Good array of breakfast foods. Staff cordial and efficient. Never did figure out how to manage the TV. It had to be operated from the set rather than the remote and it was beyond me. There were a lot of very tiny ants in the bathroom. Typical of budget motels, there was only one chair in a room rented to accommodate two. Not everyone wants to spend the whole evening in bed.
