We paid for the room with the big jacuzzi tub.. to get there and find out that the tub doesn’t even work.. they offered no help in accommodating a new room or a refund because we went through Expedia we’d have to get in touch with the app… so we end up staying anyways because we paid over 200$ for this room… the room smelt super funky and there were dead bugs on the floor… we won’t be coming here again and if your going to book here I highly recommend you call ahead to make sure your getting what you pay for 👌

First, this motel was difficult to find because it was renamed from "Texan Inn" to "SureStay PLUS Hotel by BEST WESTERN" and both Google Maps and Expedia have not updated the name change yet. Second, I was happy that my basic requirements were met: safe and quiet with working shower, air conditioner and TV. And finally, however, there were several vital things missing that culminate in critical safety issues where I would not consider staying here again until they are fixed: 1) no smoke or fire detectors in the ceiling; 2) no metal fire sprinkler; 3) phone is inoperative; 4) toilet paper and roll were missing; and 5) drawer between the beds had no bottom so I was looking at the carpet when I opened it. And of a lesser nature, the soda machine on the first floor did not dispense my soda bottle when I paid $2.75 for it. (While the front desk did compensate me, the point is the machine wasn't working properly but did take my money.)

The staff was great at check-in. Too many unsavory individuals in the back doing dope in their cars with the doors open. You'd better be at breakfast as soon as it opens because when they run out of something, the staff said they do not make more. At the hotel next to it, Holiday Inn and La Quinta across the street, they serve breakfast and continue to serve and make more food.
