Beautiful historic hotel but lacking a little in authentic historical condition due to renovations/changes over time ie gas heater in the old fireplace, built in robe, simple ugly plastic modern bathroom, no access to balcony. Needs more respect for history and heritage but that’s a widespread problem these days. Still a nice place to experience.

I loved the beautiful, ornate, historical building. It was also super convenient having an in house quality restaurant. The location was extremely central. My only concern as a single female was the separate carpark. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Booked 2 single rooms 5 momths in advance to celebrate my friend's 60th birthday (we were seeing Chocolate Starfish at Ulumburra). Disappointed on check in that we were allocated rooms on different floors and hotel booked out so couldn't swap rooms. I had previously arranged for a bottle of wine to be left in my friend's room which it was, and she was rapt. My room didn't have an openable window or door which I need to sleep but others may not mind that. Room was generous, bathroom clean, shower hot and heater left on to welcome me. Would definitely stay again but give clear requests at time of booking. Overall, great. Next time fingers crossed for excellent.
