Would highly recommend!

Stayed one night on a motorcycle trip. Very helpful staff, great room, excellent food in the restaurant. Interior of the hotel had an old, classy feel and we were pleasantly surprised by this. Also: The bathroom had a separate shower room which we’d never seen in any hotel before and we loved it!

Great stay

The hotel was very nice. The breakfast was excellent. The room was very spacious and clean. A great view of the water. Easy walking distance to the amenities of the town. Staff was very courteous and kind. Wonderful place to make some memories.

This hotel needs some maintenance. Not totally bad but outside pool was not working, shower needed repairs. Coffee for one person in the room.

Stopped specifically for the DVVJ bike trolley expirience, which was at walking distance. Restaurant in the hotel itself was acceptable on prices tho had a limited menu (which isn't a bad point as this does allow for quality) which had some variety allowing different tastes. Bit weird that the hotel was not manned during the night (and the bar closed during that same bracket). One downside was that the room was somewhat warmer than desired during the night and no climate control was available, beyond a desk-fan to atleast circulate the air.

The staff was not present for check in and we had to wait a long time. Despite great weather the staff did not open the pool. Broken shower door and broken furniture at breakfast. Staff refused to put out more breakfast despite many guests arriving 15 min before breakfast closed, so we did not get proper breakfast or even coffee. This place needs to rethink.

Our stay was unfortunately very disappointing. The price we paid and what we found were miles apart. The breakfast buffet was sparse, the plates of the other guests (who had already left the breakfast room) were not cleared. The interior and most of the furniture was old and very worn. Nothing looked inviting or in a way that would make you feel comfortable. In the bathroom and bedroom we had cobwebs on the walls and ceiling. Compared to other hotels on our trip through Sweden, this hotel was the negative highlight. We have paid the same price or even less for fantastic hotels, but felt immensely more comfortable, had beautiful rooms, a pleasant ambience and super food. This hotel is unfortunately not nice and left a very bad impression.

“Nice location, but sleep in the car instead”

Headline is a paraphrase from a review we found on Google, unfortunately after we had already checked in… I spent some time researching if this hotel was used as a retirement home while it was owned by Bengtsfors kommun, but nothing came up. Still, that’s my hunch. Our room featured a bathroom that was decades old with all the signs of having been used in some form of healthcare capacity. A worn and semi-broken toilet for disabled use, a shower setup that can house a wheelchair, and even a sign on the door with county council feeling printing stating it is, indeed, the toilet and shower. The rest of the room was worn, incredibly warm, and not very inviting. But kudos to the hotel for providing us with a small desk fan, probably of Chinese make, maybe from a company with ties to the current owner? The hallway was eerily reminiscent of ‘The Shining’, I felt almost sure I would bump into a couple of twins inviting me to come play with them when turning a corner. Not to mention the laundry chutes and very old service elevators. The pool, needless to say, was closed during our stay. A blessing in disguise because while this gravely disappointed my daughter, I dread to think of what she might have caught had it been open. No staff was around from 6pm on the Sunday we arrived, instead guests arriving later had to pick up their room keys from a table in the lobby. Names displayed in a not-so-GDPR-friendly fashion. Breakfast, served until 9am sharp, was at least ok.

Bokat 2 nätter för 4 personer. Hotellet va helt tomt. Endast 1 familj och vi. Så dåligt att vi då fick rummen ut mot gatan. Hade varit högre betyg om de gett oss rum ut mot sjön. Nu fick vi gatan och högljudda ungdomar i bil hela natten utanför våra fönster. Dåligt städat och underhållet. Trasiga möbler. Frukosten va okej, saknade den varma frukosten som äggröra, korv, bacon mm. Kaffet svagt. Där får ni allt bli bättre med god service. Parkering… där fanns bra om plats.

Gammalt, inget gym utan bara ett löpband som antagligen är inköpt på Temu, bastun va ett plus! Ingen frukostbuffé då vi va för få gäster men däremot generöst tilltagna frukostpåsar med både ägg, plättar, youghurt, frallor med ost o skinka, kaffe, te, m.m Lyckas man få ett dubbelrum under 1000:- är det värt det.
