We really enjoyed our stay here - it is a short 3 minute walk from the Byparken station on the light rail from the airport. The area is very walkable - you can walk over to Bryggen in 10 minutes. There are a few convenience stores and grocery stores near by - which is nice because we were quite jet lagged and didn’t have the energy to stay up for dinner while here. Although the hotel didn’t include breakfast, that didn’t bother us. It was pretty quiet although I think some of the rooms facing the main road may possibly hear noise from the night club underneath. All in all, we thought this was a great option and very very clean with comfortable beds.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, was about a ten minute walk to most everything. Our toddler loved it there. Clean but also cozy and comfortable. Would stay there again.

Friendly staff, we got an upgrade, very clean and spacious. Great location, 5 m. walk to tram to airport and very close to main train station. Many restaurants options in the neighborhood and right by the fish market.

Stay with a toddler

As a couple with an 18 month old toddler we had a good 2 night stay at the Ole Bull. It’s in such a great location, with many points of interest within walking distance. We requested a cot when booking and it was ready in our room upon arrival. Our room was a good size and the main living area was modern. There were good amenities in the kitchen and having the ability to screencast on the TV was ideal. There are also self-serve laundry facilities for a small fee which was fantastic to have as we had a short stop on a long trip. We found the staff at the hotel to be friendly and helpful. However, we found the apartment to be incredibly dark and was not as clean as we would have liked it to have been, with a lot of dust and crumbs in the fridge. The sofa was incredibly uncomfortable - definitely more style over substance. We had seen other reviews about noise levels of the nightclub over the weekend and although we did not experience this (Sunday and Monday stay) we experienced a lot of noise from other guests with children running around our floor screaming and shouting for long periods of time after 9pm both nights - a real issue when you have a little one in bed.

Nice central location. However our room faced the Main Street and the bars were open until 2:00am on a weekday making for loud voices and music. Overall, it was a good stay and Bergen is beautiful!
