Poor service

We stayed one night due to Highway 38 closure. We had to turn around & decided to stay for the night. At 2:30 am. the guests next door & below us were playing loud music & were talking loudly until close to 4am. Tried to call the front desk, no answer. Went to the office in the morning and rang the button. But she never came out and stayed in her seat in the office pretending to be on the phone. It's disappointing when ppl do the bare minimum these days.

This was our second time staying at Black Forrest! The only place in Big Bear we have stayed at more than once (we like trying out new places). We totally recommend and the staff are awesome.

No batteries in the smoke and carbon monoxide detector. After getting batteries we discovered our room tested positive for carbon monoxide. Another guest came into the lobby after me and his room had the same issue. We could of died overnight had we not checked the detector.
