You'll love the location, just a short stroll to the lake, and minutes from town, the zoo and skiing! Nestled in a quiet neighborhood on an oversized lot, Bleu J Cabin is the perfect getaway for families or friends.

The Space

The perfect cozy mountain escape from the city, all with the comforts of home. The soaring ceilings and open concept living and dining area invite gathering and relaxing, while taking in the beautiful views from every window. The gas fireplace and Alexa to play your music of choice add to the ultimate cozy atmosphere. The house is set up for entertaining, with a fully stocked kitchen and an oversized dining table.

We provide high-speed internet, so you can bring work with you and enjoy the view of trees and wildlife as you work.

There are two bedrooms downstairs with well-appointed queen beds in each, and there is one full bathroom downstairs. Upstairs, you will find a large open loft area (i.e. like a 3rd bedroom) with two well-appointed double beds and a bathroom with shower.

There are 3 TVs in the home. You can sign into any of your accounts, such as Netflix, Disney, Prime, etc.

*Approximately 1,260 square feet in the home, plus exterior deck to enjoy.

Enter the home to find an open concept living and kitchen / dining area with a wonderfully cozy fireplace in front of a large L-shaped leather sectional. Settle into the sectional with a cup of tea or a glass of wine, and enjoy a movie on the flatscreen TV, or take in the "live" show happening outside the window as you see some of our local wildlife including birds, gray squirrels and chipmunks :).

Next you'll find a gorgeous oversized dining table just waiting to host your group for lovely meals, games, and conversation! You'll have everything you need for cooking in the generously equipped kitchen, and we have an assortment of games for your enjoyment.

The updated kitchen is well-stocked and boasts updated appliances, including a dishwasher. Basic seasonings and other cooking essentials are provided. The house has a blender, a crock-pot, a toaster and a tea kettle as well as an assortment of pots and pans.

Walk down the hall to find a full bathroom, stocked with all the basic necessities, plus two bedrooms. Each ground-floor bedroom offers a Queen bed with comfortable quality bedding including 100% cotton sheets. Blinds and blackout curtains are provided in the downstairs bedrooms.

Make your way up the stairs to find a generously open Loft space (NOTE: this is almost like a 3rd bedroom as it has a bathroom with shower.). The loft offers two Full sized beds with comfortable quality bedding.

Back downstairs, you'll find a door leading to the backyard. Walk out onto the back deck and find a picnic style table and benches, plus a gas-powered grill ready to cook up some delicious food!

The large private backyard will invite you to sit and relax a while, whether that's on the deck or lounging in the large hammock.

Want to get out? Enjoy a stroll through our lovely neighborhood and check out the lake. Holloway's Marina is a short stroll from the house (5-10 minutes) and you can rent a kayak or pontoon boat for a day out on the lake!

Alternatively, check out one of the nearby popular hiking points or the Alpine bike path, which passes directly by the cabin!

The village is just a short drive away and offers a variety of fun shops and restaurants!

This cabin was the perfect cozy mountain escape from the city, with every comfort thoughtfully provided. Communication with the host was excellent and exactly as described, making the entire stay seamless. The home is warm and inviting, with soaring ceilings, beautiful views from every window, and a layout that’s ideal for relaxing or gathering together. We especially loved the quiet setting and the large, fully enclosed backyard, which was perfect and stress-free for our dogs. The house was spotless, well-stocked, and truly felt like a home away from home. Peaceful, comfortable, and well-located—we would absolutely stay here again.

This house is absolutely the 10 out of 10!!! To start is very very very clean, that made our stay very confortabile! It has literally EVERYTHING you need! If u like to cook, pans, utensils, appliance are all very new! What ever you need say it they have !!! The house is remodeled with a modern touch but still in theme with a cabin vibe and very cozy! spaces are perfect for a family and friends gathering trip! Also it has a huge fanced back yard perfect for dogs but also for your privacy! Bbq has gas so you don’t have to worry about amply tanks! The location is fantastic, basically on the lake but also walking distance or 5 mins driving from down town village! there are plants of table games even if we brought ours! The host is very nice and very attentive, I got very easy instructions to check in and out! We were happy, Kids were happy , dogs super happy! I will rent it again 100%. Thank you Lori you made our stay very comfortable! We loved it! :)

Our family of 6 (doggie included) enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, cozy, and spacious. We loved the fenced back yard, and the location was great. Lori checked in on us through the app during the stay to ensure everything was going well. The complimentary bottle of wine was a sweet gesture. We spent more time inside than usual due to the rain, but thankfully there were games, movies, and heat/fireplace. Cabin was well-stocked with kitchen supplies, coffee maker, keurig, pet bowls, etc.

This is a well laid out cabin getaway, came here with my adult children for a long weekend. The open main room/kitchen was ideal for the six of us to hangout together and the backyard is a tranquil forest oasis; how I miss lying in the hammock starring up through the pines at a starry sky! What stuck out the most was the quality of the furnishings throughout, even the outdoor furniture was of the highest quality.

Nicely decorated home in a great location near the lake. Lovely relaxing backyard has a hammock and horseshoes. My husband, adult son and I spent two nights here and found it super convenient to the marina and all the shops and restaurants. (Tip for future guests: light switch for the light above the kitchen sink is tucked away behind the coffee maker. It took us forever to find it!)

My husband and I were really excited about getting away for a little birthday weekend with our two dogs. We knew we wanted a cabin that had air conditioning since the weather was going to be in the mid 80’s. Under the amenities this cabin lists air conditioning and there is nothing in the description that states otherwise. Upon arrival the internal cabin temp. was 80 degrees, but when we went to turn on the AC from the thermostat, there wasn’t an option for it. When I sent a text to the property manager asking if the AC was broken, that’s when I was told the house only had a window unit in the upstairs loft. When I mentioned stating the house has AC versus a window unit was misleading, and that other cabins with window units state it in the description. I was told they do state it, you just have to scroll past all the reviews, the amenities, the description, the map and suggested other cabins to consider, in order to see it. The house was 80 degrees every night.In addition to being mislead about the AC, the house looks neglected. Blinds don’t function, holes in window screens, chipped paint and scratches on walls, patched walls that were never painted, old flat pillows and stained bedding, and you can’t play any of the games in the closet because the majority of them are missing more than half of their components.The kitchen and backyard are nice and the house is pretty clean, but we unfortunately wouldn’t stay here again. It’s sad, the house has great potential.

We really wish we could give this stay a 5 star rating but we spent a lot of money for a one week stay…all to be spent dealing with issues. We have never had to leave a review short of 5 stars, but we felt it needed to be shared. There was a massive odor coming from the wall, which pest control came out to confirm but Lori took no action to resolve. She responded with “the smell could not be identified, and we have not been presented with options.” Pest control couldn’t identify because it was behind the wall. It was clearly a rotting animal but Lori chose not to do the required work to remove a deceased animal, but rather tried to blame us. So crazy! Upon arrival, there were toys scattered in the backyard, closets and drawers were a cluttered mess, and there were spider webs absolutely everywhere! We grew up in cabins and understand the cabin vibe, but there should be an expectation that a rental should be cleaned up for the next guests. The backyard was wonderful! Diego and Monique seemed wonderful. But Lori seems to be in it for the business aspect. Not for guests to enjoy their stay. It’s unfortunate.

Amazing property, especially for dog owners. The cabin has an open layout and great kitchen with huge family table and all the amenities. Everything was clean and comfortable and so inviting for families. The backyard was a dream. We had so much fun playing jenga on the deck and horseshoes in the huge well landscaped yard that it safely fenced in. So pleased with this place.Hope to return again in near future!

Great Stay at Bleu J - Highly Recommend!

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at this Big Bear cabin. The property was spotlessly clean with a spacious backyard that was perfect for our Great Dane - truly pet-friendly with plenty of room to roam.Check-in was seamless with keyless entry, and we received detailed information and local recommendations in advance. The hosts were responsive and checked in during our stay to ensure everything was going well.The location was perfect with easy access to everything Big Bear has to offer. The cabin had all the amenities we needed, including a nice gas fireplace for cozy evenings.Overall, this was exactly what we were looking for in a mountain getaway. Clean, comfortable, and well-managed. We would definitely stay here again!

Love the place

Very nice property and perfect for dogs. The backyard is a perfect spot to let them out safely. The 5 star for the excellent towels in the bathroom. I can't stand it when you go to a VRBO and its run by one of these agencies who purchase the cheapest stuff possible. This place unit is furnished with love with nice fluffy thick towels. Thank you for the nice touch.

Cozy Wonderful Cabin!

My husband, sister, dogs and I stayed at this cute property at the end of the summer and had a wonderful time. The cabin was easy to find, on a quiet street and super close to the main part of town. We also were able to walk to the lake from it! The cabin has a spacious open floor plan with super high ceilings. The living room had comfy large couches that we settled into to watch movies at night. The bedrooms on the main floor were roomy and clean and just perfect for our needs. The loft upstairs was a lot of fun too! The kitchen and bathrooms met all of our needs. And most importantly, the backyard was serene whether you were sitting on the swing or laying in the hammock. Our dogs absolutely loved the backyard too. The host was super easy to deal with and communicate with. We will happily stay here again and encourage others to do so. We highly recommend it.
