I had a bad experience at Cathy's Cottages with mice in my room so I moved here. Jacky at the front desk was so sweet and welcoming and the property is well maintained and very comfortable. I also liked that they did not charge more for weekend nights like all the other hotels in Big Bear. Next time I am in town, this is definitely where I am staying. Highly recommended. A+

NO AC!!!!

No AC!!! That about sums it up. For locals who are accustomed to having No AC and aware of this fact, that may be fine. However, if you're driving from out of town and expect a nice, cool room when you check into your hotel, do not stay here! When asked about this, I was told, " Oh we don't advertise if we have AC or not, Sorry". I find that practice highly unacceptable. If I had known, I would have never booked the reservation, particularly since I have certain health issues. My husband and I literally were in the room less than 5 minutes before we had to find other accommodations. And guess what, the Hampton/Hilton down the street had AC. I would definitely not recommend stating here during the summer. The winter may be fine as apparently they have heat, but no AC!

I have been to Big Bear many times and this stay was the best. Very unique property nice cleanly rooms and very quiet even though it sits on the Big Bear Blvd. Cold plunge, sauna, horseshoes, bean bag toss and a pool. Close proximity to the village for dinner and close to both ski resorts. Will definitely stay there again!

Big Bear generally has some low-end rustic (meaning rundown) dated properties. Sessions breaks that mold. My room was updated to be more modern. Felt more spacious and was decorated in a really cool manner. Think Austin Powers! The staff was terrific and the facilities were really nice. There was a really nice clean pool and there's a nice hangout area with fire pits. I would say sessions is the best place in Big Bear I've stayed at yet by far.

Basic rooms, really cool property/shared spaces

Property was good, had a porch, firepits, on site restaurant. Bed was comfortable, shower was good. Shared spaces with couches, pool table, tv and full kitchen was nice. Easy parking, 7/11 and McDonalds across the street. No A/C control in unit, if room near street, can hear traffic pretty clearly. About 3-5 min drive from the Village restaurants/bars

Tiny room, bed occupies 80% of the room (size wasn't mentioned on Expedia), no elevator, lots of steps to go to 2nd level, TV didn't work (manager agreed that we move to a 1st level similar room), closet totally dark, no coffee machine. My wife and I were even debating the idea of traveling back home that evening instead of spending the night in that place.

Relaxing & chill community…exactly what we needed to get away. Dog-friendly, had everything to enjoy the cabin & the clubhouse was a bonus. Bed was very comfortable, nice BBQ area, enjoyed s’mores at the fire pits. Thanks to the staff for being kind & creating a cool getaway! We will be back.

City style Meets Mountain Life

This hotel is our new favorite spot! It's the low key vibes of adult summer camp, but with all the style and comfort of a NYC four-star hotel! Beautiful, photogenic rooms; sensitive eye for detail in all the decor; and fun nooks and finds around the property, from tether ball, to pickle ball, to a pool, to hanging hammocks, and a beautiful mini hike. I'd recommend this to any couple, single, or family looking for a retreat in the forest that offers that perfect balance between city comfort, and outdoorsy fun. Impressed enough to write my first review on here!

We really loved our stay at Sessions and will definitely be back because our room was fun and they are very doggy friendly. We were also pleasantly surprised when the owners made us burgers on the house. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because they had a large wedding party during our stay. Because of that it was tough to get the staff's attention when we needed help and the office was often closed or unattended. Even with that we loved their vibe and the staff couldn't have been nicer when they were available. Definitely want to give them another shot when things aren't so crazy for them.

Friendly staff, close to the village. Our request for a top floor room was honored. The room was pretty outdated. There was only one set of towels supplied for 2 people. The room has no AC so it got hot in June. The pool was under construction. Overall okay place to stay.
