The hotel was beautiful. Very clean and put together. The pool was very nice and the scenery from our room was amazing. We had a beach view. The beds were nice. It took a little while for the water to heat up. We did not try the food because it was very expensive for being in a hotel. The coffee was OK, not what I’m used to as we drink community coffee in Louisiana. All in all our stay was pretty good. I would stay again. This was right across the street from the beach

This is a very unique hotel to this area. Although our room was missing a mini fridge and microwave, we didn't seem to miss it. It is old-time decor with a luxury feel. We really enjoyed our stay and was nice to be in a very quiet hotel for a change.

We were excited to stay in an historical property. The rooms, were not decorated in a manner that fit with the history of the property. The floor was not clean so we had to leave our shoes on the entire time we were in the room. Additionally, the room smelled very musty and damp. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The exterior building and grounds were well kept.

This is a nice property. I've stayed here a few times and I never have a complaint. I think there should be some kind of disclaimer shared with guest when a wedding is scheduled during their stay. This weekend there was a fairly large wedding which left guests with no where to park. I ended up parking across the street in a grassy lot that hasn't recently been cut. There was no food available at the restaurant as the entire kitchen staff was working/catering the wedding. As a guest, I should be able to park and get food as part of the amenities I payed for. I will definitely inquire about scheduled wedding before booking next time. It was a beautiful wedding though.
