Not one to leave reviews but this hotel was not safe to stay in. Mold covering the sofa bed and couch and the corners of the room were somehow worse. The smell of the room was so pungent it was oppressive to be in not to mention the utensils provided still had food on them. Once approached by them to alert them and fix this we were not responded to in a timely manner or taken seriously. Giving us a one bed bedroom for just one of the five part members for five and being told to not use anything but the bed so they didn’t have to pay housekeepers and that room still smelled unclean and unkempt. If you don’t believe me walk to the elevator from the lobby and you will begin to smell how foul that place really is. Truly awful and I would not wish this hotel on anyone

The staff is very friendly. The cleaning crew was very thorough and you can tell they really care about the cleanliness. General building was kept very clean. Rooms, towels, bed sheets, blankets all kept very clean. Bed and pillow was comfortable. Shampoo and soap has a nice citrus scent to it. Breakfast was kept well stocked with the items they have available.

Check in took forever. The man at the front desk was just sitting in the janitor closet when my husband found him. We got to our room and the tv and shower head were broken. Then within 30 minutes my 11 month old son found a pill on the ground in our room and put it in his mouth. I luckily caught him and dug it out. We immediately left after that.

I booked the wrong Best Western on Expedia. I asked owners to refund my stay so I could stay where I was. I am disabled, and I had my 82 year old father, of which I picked up in Chicago, and we were very tired. So I go to the location where I booked it. Owners son on cell phone talking to a friend the whole time. I reserved a handicapped room on the first floor, so that father, who is on oxygen, didn’t have to walk far. I am told that all handicapped rooms are on second floor. Get to our room, it smells very bad like mildew.The bathroom wreaked of urine. I called the front desk and request someone to come clean it. 3 people come up, leave our door wide open, as they were arguing loudly, who cleaned the bathroom, and who was going to clean it. The wife, who was quite rude, was speaking Hindi was saying that there was Nothing wrong with it, it smelled fine and we were being difficult. After she left, it smelled better. I was told that this location, on 280 in Birmingham was the better of the 2. I will NEVER stay I. A Best Western again!!! Extremely upset at how disabled people are treated here.
