Home was not clean. Dead bugs in the bathroom. Sidewalk to the home was covered in leaves and small branches. Landscaping was grown up and unkempt. At this price point I expect so much more.

We stayed in this historic home, which has multiple steps leading up to the entrance. Please note, this is not a detached house but a duplex, with the rental on the lower level.The neighborhood is beautiful, and the home is nicely furnished and very clean. However, several issues impacted our stay. Internet was a problem from the start—we were never able to connect to the WiFi, even after contacting the owner. Privacy was also a concern, as none of the windows in the living room, dining room, or kitchen have curtains or shades, and they face the street. The main bathroom is even visible from outside through the dining room window. Privacy is only possible in the bedrooms and bathrooms with doors closed.Safety could be improved since the exterior doors only have the keyless entry lock without a chain or deadbolt. A few listed amenities were also missing—we could not find an iron or ironing board. Maintenance issues included a hole in the wall behind the kitchen garbage can, a loose drawer handle, and a few other small details.Overall, while the home is charming and in a lovely neighborhood, updates, privacy features, and attention to detail would make guests feel more comfortable and secure, especially for the nightly rate.
