Excellent location for a stay in Birmingham! We had two couples staying here during our visit and it was perfect for us! Kathleen with Porchlit Properties is a wonderful host! The Hobbit House is actually set up like two 1BR apartments easily accessible from inside or out. It is light filled and cozy. The furniture was comfortable and plenty of seating for our group of up to six.The decor was updated and pleasing. Everything was clean clean clean and well stocked for a 3 day stay. Both up and downstairs outdoor space had views with comfy seating, propane firepit and grill. We were there during early spring and song birds were all around and wisteria was blooming and smelled so nice outside. While we sat out on the deck overlooking the sunset and lights of the city on the first night in short sleeves and jeans, we woke to a beautiful snow falling the next morning. This is a great neighborhood up on a rise overlooking the city, homes below and part of the golf course. Very safe and charming area just minutes from everything we could want to visit or see. We commented several times on how quiet it was here. Location: Everything from the university to the hospital to the airport to the Homewood community and Hoover area were within 5 to 18 mins respectively. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning on our next visit to the Magic City.

Had a wonderful stay! The home was very clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was convenient for everything we wanted to do, and check-in was smooth and easy. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would absolutely book again.

Great Location. Beautiful neighborhood. Close to everything. Fantastic views. Loved that there was essentially two 1 bedroom apartments. The spiral staircase was tiny so we were not comfortable using it. But it was easy enough to go around to the front door. Super comfortable beds. Our favorite was to just sit on the deck and enjoy the breeze. We also enjoyed walking the historic neighborhood. Easy check in. Good communication.
