good property but not a fan of the area

overall we had a great stay.. the place is mostly quiet but we did have noisy neighbours at one point .. the neighborhood was kinda sketchy - lots of old houses falling apart; birmingham is kinda dumpy in general but we weren’t there to see the city - the location was good with easy access to the interstate.. the building itself is quite secure as there are 3 separate codes to get to your unit..anyway, the unit itself a good size.. it’s in a converted office building but we had lots of space for our things and it was nice having a full size fridge and a washer and dryer.. there’s definitely room for improvements though in our opinion.. there were no scissors (we needed to open some packages and cut tags off), no cutting boards (we made a lot of our own food), no laundry detergent or dryer sheets, no salt, no tea towels or dish cloths (and we were only supplied 1 roll of paper towel), and only a couple of dishwasher tabs.. if you were staying for a 2-3 nights you’re probably fine without those things but we were there for over a week and those things would’ve been nice to have supplied.. with that being said, it was a comfortable stay.. it’s got a ton of room for 2 people, the bed is so comfy and the floor to ceiling windows were fantastic for letting in lots of light and the blackout curtains were great for the afternoon and night when the sun came around the side of the building (we were in unit 2)..

Pleasant surprise

Stayed while moving my daughter into college. Was not far from university but was in a commercial type building being converted into units. Not what I was expecting when I arrived. But it was very clean and seemed to have security situations. There is more cleanup, renovation to be done on property/outside but they were actively working on it I saw in my coming and going. Would stay again.
