The breakfast was very good with good selection of dishes. Service was excellent. The room was very comfortable, water was hot at all times of the day and the heating system worked very well. Cleaning could be a bit better, quite a few cobwebs found.

Great friendly welcome from all the staff, Room was clean with excellent facilities, The Oak Room serves very nice food and has a good selection of drinks and the prices are very reasonable, again the service was attentive and friendly, I have no hesitation booking a stay here again, and look forward to coming back

Nice room had all amenities apart from an iron and there wasn’t a phone to call reception. Wasn’t a major issue as everything else was perfect. The car park is quite big and free. We checked in late and out early so did not try meals. Overall excellent value for money.

A thoroughly enjoyable short stay

The hotel was very easy to find and only a short distance from Bishop Auckland town centre, which we visited on the Saturday morning, using a local bus as the stop was just near the hotel. We were warmly greeted on arrival, which was our experience throughout our stay. Excellent staff, very helpful and polite. We stayed in a room just off from the the entrance near the court yard. The room was quite spacious with a very comfortable bed and excellent shower. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night and the food was well presented, hot and very tasty. A very comfortable restaurant and bar, though some separate seating in the bar area might not go amiss. Breakfasts were also excellent with good choices and well presented food. The car park has ample space and a couple of charging points. All in all a great 2 night stay and would definitely recommend There is plenty of car pa
