Charming authentic, typical 18th century Burgundian farmhouse, carefully restored (with a traditional "Mâconnaise gallery"), nestled against a wooded hill on a south-eastern slope, nestled in a quiet area on the edge of a lane (organic farm located opposite the gîte) just a stone's throw from the heart of a peaceful, typical, and perfectly preserved little village, full of charm and steeped in history (a major resistance centre during the Second World War). Nestled in the heart of gentle rolling countryside, in the hollow of a bucolic valley, at the foot of Mont Saint-Romain (listed natural site, exceptional belvedere culminating at 580m offering a 360° view as far as Mont-Blanc on a clear day & renowned downhill mountain bike trail), Blanot benefits from an absolutely enchanting landscaped setting, combining hedged meadows, beautiful wild forests & vineyards (largely protected in "Natura 2000 Zone" for its rich fauna & flora), has a rich heritage (rare Cluniac Priory from the 13th century, old wash houses, bread oven, historic houses restored with galleries & lava roofs, Merovingian tombs from the 6th & 7th centuries etc.) and is home to renowned "Grottes" (jewel of the Cluniac region, classified as a ZNIEFF for the protection of rare species of bats).
