Spacious Mountain Home Near Skiing
Welcome to Altitude Adjustment!
Conveniently located on Appalachian Ski Mountain in Blowing Rock, Altitude Adjustment is a short half-mile drive or a ten-minute walk to the family-friendly ski lodge, ski slopes, and ice skating rink. Centrally located to all the High Country has to offer, downtown Blowing Rock is a five minute drive where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants, and activities. The Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, High Gravity Adventures, downtown Boone, and Appalachian State University are all within five miles.
Altitude Adjustment is a two level home with a spacious open main floor with high ceilings with exposed beams and bright wood walls. The living room boasts a wall of windows that let in natural light and a large stone gas fireplace to cozy up to after a day on the slopes. The large leather sectional has 2 electrical recliners and offers plenty of seating. Kids will enjoy the multi-game arcade game with over 400 games on the main level. There is dining for six at the farmhouse table, with additional seating for three at the kitchen peninsula. You can enjoy seasonal mountain views from the expansive deck that encompasses the entire home or relax in the 7-person hot tub as you listen to the sounds of nature and enjoy the mountain air.
The vaulted ceilings continue into the main level master suite which includes a king bed, dual closets, and a private bathroom with dual rain shower heads in the large shower. There is also in-suite laundry and access to the deck. A second king bedroom is also on the main level. A spiral staircase leads to the top floor where there is an additional sleeping area with a queen bed and twin bunkbeds and a private bathroom.

Additional amenities include WiFi, smart TVs, and a large yard with an outdoor fire pit. Two dogs are welcome with an additional pet fee. The gravel driveway is level with no step entry onto the covered front entrance for easy loading and unloading. AWD or 4WD are recommended for winter travelers.

The 8 of us had a wonderful stay at Altitude Adjustment! Multiple of us cooked in the kitchen at the same time, we all enjoyed the large couch, and the back deck & hot tub were the perfect hangout spot. The house is a great location for the mountain experience while also being close to Boone and Blowing Rock. We would stay again!

Super COMFY Stay, GORGEOUS Views!!!
This house was a perfect New Years stay for my family of 5, we all felt VERY comfortable in the house which is all you can ask for in a simple family mntn getaway - most of our stay was skiing App Ski Mntn and the proximity to App Ski is FANTASTIC. We LOVED the back deck, sunset mountain views (GORGEOUS), hot tub (able to watch the NYE fireworks from the hot tub!), and comfy couch. I checked with prop mgmt prior to our trip to see if the house had a colander/pasta pot and they told me no and that I needed to bring my own - this was inaccurate (along with other info they gave me about what was not in the kitchen & really was there). Would reco to the owners to provide mgmt with some basic info so that this can be more accurate - ie would have been great not to have to tote along 1/2 my kitchen ;) bc they told me ONLY necessities like plates and utensils were provided. That said I already tried to book next NYE and its not avail - my kids are so bummed. Grab this rental if you have a chance, you won't be sorry!

Awesome place!
Altitude Adjustment is awesome. The backyard was great for the dog. Watch out for deer next door though. The living room was great with a huge sofa and a great TV. The TV had cable and the ability to sign onto your own personal streaming services. The location is perfect. It is close to both Boone and Blowing Rock. The Blue Ridge Parkway is close. This place was just stunning!
