Set in the beautiful Charente Maritime countryside Le Manoir des Mûrier is a former 16th century hunting lodge once owned by the Marquis des Adjots. Kick back, relax & unwind in this peaceful oasis, nestled in 15 acres with its own lake, in the heart of wine region. Mûrier Cottage is tastefully decorated & furnished, has 3 bedrooms to accommodate 6 guests comfortably, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room, lounge with 2 large sofas, TV & log burner. The cottage has its own private entrance through the walled courtyard, where you can enjoy al fresco dining & BBQ area. In the grounds is a large salt water swimming pool, terrace & sun loungers.

The pretty gite sits next to the impressive main house in large grounds with lovely features. The bedrooms were all very comfortable, dual aspect with a nice balcony off one of the bedrooms and a modern bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped, there was a comfortable lounge and an outdoor table and chairs under the mulberry trees. We particularly loved hanging out at the pool and heading off on day trips in the local area. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
